Sailboat trinket box

Hadde et ferdig stempeltrykk av en båt som passet så godt med fargene på arket jeg tenkte å bruke opp. Så det ble en liten sjømotiv eske! Hadde ikkenoe mal, bare kutt ivei.. og dermed ble det litt tull med lokket ~ men okay resultat til slutt :)

This box is made entirely freehand, using a cool reeeeally old paper, more than 5 yrs I think ~ and I've no idea who produced it (great quality!). Since I winged it on the measurements.. the lid had to be cut down with scissors to fit the text already stamped on... leaving jagged edges.. so the ribbon is mostly for covering up! *lol* :)

Monster Truck goes Vroom!

Et kort til en liten eller stor gutt! Det er Uutrolig mye plunder med småe QK deler.. Hadde ikke tenkt å bruke fullt så mye tid på kortet som jeg gjorde. Råstilig bil ~ for tålmodige mennesker! ;) Har funnet en flott ramme digi hos Dustin Pike som passer bra på denne typen kort, vanligvis går jeg for 15x15 cm. kort, men A6 str. funker også veldig greit ~ spesielt når jeg har et lager med kjedelige Hippopotamus kort..

A card for a little guy or a big one who digs cars and anything that goes Vrooom! This is an awesome QK die, but boy it's a really tricky construction getting all those parts together, patience is key here.. ;)

Amalia's ♥ Baby Carriage

 

Jeg har lagd en barnevogn til min søte niese Amalia, som kom til verden den 2. april, og dermed er ikke jeg alene om å være 'en forsinket aprilsnarr' som jeg har hørt hele livet *hehe* Jeg hadde bursdag den 5., og lille Amalia var jo en gledelig tantepresang! ~ vil du være med på bloggcandyen min å feire?  
Jeg brukte en tutorial fra Magnolia Ink bladet, mere info nederst i innlegget.

I have made this baby carriage for my sweet little niece Amalia ♥ who was born just a couple of days before my birthday ~ so it was double celebration time in my blogcandy ~ join up here! I used a tutorial in Magnolia Ink magazine to make this, see info at the bottom of the post.

PS: Jeg må absolutt presisere at jeg ikke har funnet på noe oppskrift til denne selv, jeg har sett slike vogner online men ikke hatt anledning til å lage en før nå. Jeg ble inspirert av den nydelige barnevogna i Camilla S. sin tutorial for Magnolia Ink i blad no.1 2012, og har lagd min egen barnevogn med litt andre mål. Og nå når jeg sitter og skal blogge kreasjonen min, så leter jeg etter en link å legge ved her, men fant ingen ~ derimot ble jeg litt lei meg når jeg så noen fine og kreative bloggere i klinsj.. Opphavsretter er en vanskelig ting i scrappeverden, ettersom man har sett det meste før rundtomkring på blogger og blitt inspirert av det, og deretter lagd sine egne versjoner. All ære for Mayas flotte barnevogner, men jeg tror ikke Camilla har 'stjelt' men vært inspirert av flere kilder på nett som hun sier her :) 

BTW: I have to specify that I've not come up with the idea of this babycarriage myself, but I've seen carriages like this online, and when I found the tutorial in Magnolia ink magazine no.1. 2012, by Camilla S. I decided to make one for my niece. Searching for a link to add to my post just now, to give credit ~ I was saddened to see the controversy, all honour to Maya, luv your carriages, but I also think that Camilla was simply inspired by many different bloggers, and her tutorial don't seem to rip off anyone. Anyhow, awesome inspirations sources to other crafters, hope to see lots more crafty creations and tutorials from both in the future :)

Prøver meg på en skisseutfordring denne gang ~ ikke det letteste for meg, å arbeide ut ifra en skisse, da jeg aldri ser for meg hvordan det skal se ut eller hva jeg kommer til å bruke før jeg starter. Men det er jo en utfordring å bryne seg på da! :)

Vintage Teddy Card & American Idol ramblings..

Ei venninne av søstra mi bestillte et kort hos meg, og hun plukket selv ut stempler og farger hun ville ha på det, så hadde jeg moro med å male og få alt til å passe sammen ~ tror jeg har fått det maskulint nok til en voksen mann? :)

.. *Sukk* Jeg sitter her og kan knapt konsentrere meg om å blogge jeg... Blir rent mo i knærne av den stemmen til James Durbin! ♥ Fikk ei cd-plate i posten idag, fra Amazon ~ 'Memories of a beautiful disaster' debut plata, er super fornøyd med den ~ passer perfekt inn i min musikksmak! Har også Cd'n 'American Idol Season 10 highlights' ~ James var min topp favoritt ifjor, sammen med Paul McDonald og Lauren Aleina. Også Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams og Scotty McCreery (som vant), var favoritter.. og jeg kommer sikkert til å kjøpe musikk fra dem også etterhvert ~ Men James skulle absolutt ha vunnet! 

This is a card a friend of my sister comissioned ~ a boat, teddy and the other stamps shown was picked by her, as well as the color scheme, and I had free hands to put it all together! It was very fun to make it all match and I hope she will like it and her friend to receive it! :)

I'm supposed to blog about this card, but I keep getting sidetracked by the cd that's playing in the background, wich I got in the mail today. Check out DurbinRocks.com to listen for yourself! (music player) And getting a little sentimental I got stuck on YouTube for a while, searching & listening for old videos... James was my absolute fave in American Idol last year, so ofcourse I had to get his debut album ♥ Paul McDonald, Lauren Aleina, Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams & Scotty McCreery were also amazing, and I followed them all the way. Many hours spent watching Idol, oh yes!

Durbin's version of 'Uprising' on Am.Idol was even better than the original by Muse! And when he sang 'While my guitar gently weeps' it was beautiful!... I'll never forget it. (This video is when he was on Ellen show after voted off). Here he is in Metal Heaven together with Judas Priest!!!

My fave Paul song was Maggie May (Rod Stewart) & this new one where he sing with his girlfriend Nikki Reed 'Now that I've found you' just melt my heart completely... ♥
Haley's 'House of the Rising Sun' & 'I who have nothing' (++)... AMAZING! I get chills .. Casey & Haley together on was Da Bomb! Check out this jazz duet they do 'Moaning' ~ all velvet and growls! Here is my fave Casey performances 'Harder to breathe' & 'Georgia on my mind' so much SOUL! And how cool is this duet with Jack Black!!! Fat bottom girls!
 Also listen to Laurens angel voice on 'Like my mother does' musicvideo wich she also did on Am.Idol. And her new song 'Georgia Peaches' from her debut! Scotty is the cutest, my mums top fave ofcourse, country all the way *lol* I love country too and he's just awesome in theese new musicvideos 'I love you this big' here & 'the trouble with girls'... but James still should've won in my opinion! ;) Well, I think that's just about enough ramblings on last years Idol.. just had to get it out there! And now I have a list of fave videos to go back and listen to whenever I want *lol*

Lengter etter vår og sommer nå ~ så det ble friske og varme farger på kortet mitt idag! Solsikker er favorittblomsten min, kansje jeg skal plante noen iår.. Flere år siden sist jeg hadde solsikker i hagen! Lurer på når man kan så dem her i nord-norge, eller kansje jeg kan kjøpe 'ferdige' planter og sette ned? :)

I'm longing for spring & summer today ~ so my card turned out in bright n warm colors :) Outside it's cold & loads of snow still!
