Arabian Nights ~ Genie

 

Jeg lagde en genie ~ ånden i lampen ~ tag til ei scrappe venninne ♥ Og det fantastiske Hero Arts klubb kit'et jeg fikk i desember passet perfekt til dette stempelmotivet fra Saturated Canary.
Krista Smith som lager disse nydelige motivene selger desverre ikke lengre digistempler selv, men du kan finne noen av hennes motiver hos Make it Crafty nå, og mange motiver som dette fins som gummistempler rundt om i scrappebutikker på nett :)

I'm absolutely loving the arabian nights themed Hero Arts kit! I made a tag for a friend (Hello Maja!) with a beautiful genie from Saturated Canary, and the hanging lamps, stencil and window die was a great match for this motif ♥
Krista Smith, the artist behind this beautiful genie motif, is sadly not selling her motifs as digis herself anymore, but Make it Crafty has some digistamps of hers, as well as new designs! And the Genie stamp is possibly still around to find as a rubberstamp like mine online :)

Stamps/Images: Hero Arts MMH December 2017 Kit 'Arabian nights theme' stamps & co-ordinating dies, and star stamp from the MMH November 2017 'Christmas Ornaments theme' Kit. Little Darlings ~ Saturated Canary 'Genie' rubberstamp.
Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs, and I used the same for the tag. Best Creation inc. glitter gold cardstock.
Embellishments: Basic Grey 'Sophie' Ribbon/Fibers. Panduro Hobby Washi tape 'Glitter Lace borders' by Arne & Carlos. Unknown purple washitape. Live & Love crafts 'Aladdin's Lamp' charm.

Tools: My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams. Panduro Hobby scalpel and self healing mat.
Dies: Fancy window die from the december Hero Arts kit.
Essentials/Adhesives: High-Tack Double Sided Red Tape (Red Liner/Stix2/Miracle tape). Rangers Glossy accents, stickles.

Techniques/Mediums:  I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. I also used the Oxide inkpads to 'smoosh' on the tag to create a background. With the stencil from the Hero Arts kit I added Viva Decor Inka Gold 'Violet'. To heat emboss the star I used a Versamark inkpad, a heat gun tool and 'Aladine poudre à embosser OR gold' embossingpowder. I doodled some details on the stamp with a Micro fineliner black pen, wich is actually as you see here. She's a genie so she had to emerge from the lamp right? :)
