the Hearty Dragon 💗

For et par helger siden var jeg på Bikuben Vårscrapp online scrappetreff! Det er så moro med en gjeng koselige damer som scrapper sammen med masse flotte demoer, utfordringer og inspirasjon! Det er et skikkelig kick i scrappetørken det er sikkert og visst! 😀 Fikk lagd flere kort og ble tilogmed ferdig med ett sett av 20 x invitasjonskort til søskenbarnet mitt sin konfirmasjon i mai!

 

Denne gangen var treffet ikke slutt når helga var omme, med to extra oppgaver som varte helt til igår! Jeg rakk ikke over den største (lage ferdig hele 15 prosjekt .. lol) men Restefest oppgaven er jeg med på! Hadde egentlig brukt opp alt jeg hadde av rester, men fant i papirsøpla et akvarellark jeg hadde trykt ut 'Love' bokstavene på, og det var akkurat tykt nok til å bruke som stensil på dette kortet. Og et gammelt Eureka gummistempel 'Hearty Dragon' fikk litt kjærlighet igjen 💗 Kjøpt i 2008 men designet er sikkert enda eldre enn det!

I was at an online scrap crop event about a week ago arranged by Bikuben, a norwegian crafty store. Theese events are so fun to be at with a bunch of ladies getting crafty together with demos and heaps of inspiration and challenges to get that mojo flowing! 😀 I even got to finish up 20 x invitationcards for my cousins confirmation day in may!

 

This time around they didnt want the event to end just yet, so we got another couple of challenges to last us until yesterday evening! I made this card from a leftover scrap of diecut paper with the letters LOVE from my previous posted card found here. And an old Eureka rubberstamp 'Hearty Dragon' got some love again too! 💗 It was bought in 2008 but the design is probably alot older!

Stencils/Embossingfolders: Selfmade circle stencil and word stencil from dies below.
Dies: Altenew 'Caps Bold Alphabet SKU ALT 2024' Die Set. Crafts Too Presscut 'Circle Nest Dies PCD46'.
Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder. High-Tack adhesive tape Sookwang Scor-Pal tape &/or Red tape. 3D foam/mosegummi.
Techniques/Mediums: I used misc. Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads to watercolor, stencil and distress image and papers. Scrap of papers leftover from diecutting out the word LOVE used as a stencil. And the circle was cut out of a thin acetate - so that it and the negative circle can be used over and over again! The dragon was popped up with 3D foam.

Det er veldig enkelt å male regnbuefargede ord med distressinks ~ favoritt mediumet mitt ~ spesielt om man bruker akvarellpapir! Jeg valgte meg 5 blekkputer og malte dem 'inn i hverandre' slik at jeg fikk alle regnbuens farger på arket før jeg trykket ut bokstavene 💗

It's very easy to make rainbow colored words if you got some distressinks ~ my favourite medium ~ and especially if you use watercolorpaper too! I picked out 5 inkpads and painted them 'into eachother' so that i got all the rainbow colors on the paper before i diecut the letters 💗

Jeg var desverre ikke i form til å lage noe som DT inspirasjonsbidrag i forrige uke, men tenkte jeg kan legge inn i ettertid noen kort og en tag jeg ikke har fått blogget enda fra da jeg var med på Bikubens Vårscrapp online treff! Ingen tvil her om at favoritt teknikkene mine er tørr-embossing, heat-embossing og distressinks?
👓 Har fått nye briller, og for første gang er det progressive glass, noe som ikke har vært greit å venne seg til... følt meg sjøsyk og svimmel, migrene, og gått på dørkarmer og nesten ramlet ned trappa hjemme! Denne bloggposten har tatt over ei uka å skrive for bokstavene er litt 3D innimellom...

Unfortunately I was not able to create anything as DT inspiration for #231. at Creative Fingers last friday, having troubles with my eyes and a longlasting migraines on and off.. 👓 Got new glasses, wich now were progressive ones for the first time, and boy are they proving difficult to get used to!!! Been 'seasick', feeling naucious and dizzy, and going from moving my head to focus (instead of just shifting my eyes) has been the most straining.. It's starting to feel better now wich is such a relief! Won't miss almost falling down the stairs and stubbing my toes!!! ... and this blogpost has till now taken me more than a week to complete because the breaks from looking at the words on the screen is too much in 3D!

I will need to go back to get the glasses better fitting on my nose and over the ears, and the temple tips was tugging my hair out each time I took the glasses off, as the plastic tips was not flush with metal, hair got stuck so I had to wrap some dark colored washitape around them! .... yeah, I really wonder what the optician will say about the pretty black glitter washi when I go see them next week LOL! 😂

The challenge is still ongoing for about another week so this serves as a reminder post, adding theese retrospectively ~ and I get to show some cards and a tag I had yet to blog from the online crop event I attended last weekend of march 😊 Can u tell I LOVE to emboss? Both dry-embossing and heat-embossing are my favourite kind of technique, besides getting inky with distressinks 😍 I am sponsoring with 3x of my digistamps as prize, and as always, theme is anything goes. Techniques/Mediums: For the cards I used misc.  Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. To heat emboss, I used a Versamark inkpad and Versamark marker, a heat gun tool & Panduro Hobby copper/koppar embossingpowder. I used sandpaper to distress as well.
For the tiger tag I used Distress ink pads 'Vintage photo', 'Rusty hinge', 'Peeled paint', and Distress ink Spray stain 'Rusty hinge'. Distress crayons 'Vintage photo'. Viva Decor Inka gold waxes.
