Her oppi det kalde, våte og fremdeles snødekte nord, blåser det kraftig og det er ikke mye vårstemning å spore enda.. Her om dagen skinte sola inn gjennom vinduene og jeg trodde nesten at den var kommet.. men neida! Så jeg får heller lage kort med vårlige farger og et nydelig Elisabeth Bell motiv mens jeg venter på våren! :)

Here up in the northern parts of Norway it's still wet and cold, snow is still covering the land and spring seems far far away yet... A few days ago the sun shone so warmly in through my windows, I almost thought spring was upon us! I'm not the biggest 'fan' of the sun, (in fact during summer I shy away from it) but after a long dark winter I really long for some light! But alas.. it was only very brief and we've had stormy weather since..
So what to do then when longing for springtime? Create something pretty in the colors of spring ofcourse :)

I love Elisabeth Bell's gorgeous images, and I have been collecting them first in rubber then in clearstamps for many years, long before they were also in digistamps! I have followed her through all the companies she's been with ~ Sugarnellie, Whiff of Joy, Belles n whistles, Whimsy Stamps, Stampavie and Ladybug and friends.. plus probably others I forgot about :) Her artwork is always so innocent and sweet, perfect for any occasions and recipient.

If you haven't already done so, you should really sign up for her newsletters, wich comes with freebie digistamps, often very old stamp motifs long discontinued, and brought back in digital lineart for us to color and enjoy ♥ ♥ ♥

Techniques/Mediums:  I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. To heat emboss I used a Versamark inkpad, a heat gun tool &  Ranger ink clear embossingpowder. Doodling with a black Micro fineliner pen.

Igjen har jeg funnet frem Hero Arts sitt klubb nydelige klubbkit med '1001 natt' tema dies og stempler fra desember ifjor, denne gang sammen med et par av mine absolutt eldste stempler ~ All Night Media øyenstikkeren må vel være rundt 20 år gammelt for det var allerede et godt brukt stempel da jeg kjøpte det for mer enn ti år siden, og både Lazar StudioWerx snirkel stemplet og Whiff of Joy jenta inni er fra stempelsett jeg kjøpte i 2010! 
De holder seg godt :) Selv om jeg nok har ti ganger flere digitale stempler, så er det fremdeles mine kjære gummistempler jeg elsker mest ♥

I have yet again taken out and played with my fabulous Scheherazade / Arabian nights theme Hero Arts Monthly clubkit from december last year ~ this time pairing it with a couple of my oldest stamps of my collection. The All Night Media dragonfly has got to well around 20 years old by now, as it was already old and well used when I bought it second-hand more than ten years ago. And both the swirl stamp from Lazar StudioWerx and the Whiff of Joy girl inside my card is of a stampset I bought back in 2010! All three gone out of business ages ago...
Talking about oldies but goodies! :) Even if I probably have ten times more digistamps than I do rubber and clear, the sweet rubberstamps will always be my not-so-secret-hoarding-addiction and absolute favourites ♥

Techniques/Mediums:  I used misc. Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers.  To heat emboss sentiment & the big butterfly I used a Versamark inkpad, a heat gun tool and 'Aladine poudre à embosser OR gold' plus a white Hero Arts embossingpowder.
The background behind the fancy frame die is made with a really tacky sheet of tape behind, then rubbing some yummy Indigoblu Megaflake Chocolate Box gildingflakes on the panel.

I was so lucky to win one of the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenges, (with this card) and received both some gorgeous digis as a prize and got invited to join as a guest DT :) The theme for february-march is to use a favourite image by EB. and it was really difficult to pick just one, as I have probably a hundred faves among my collection! This rubberstamp is just one of the cutest ever ♥

My christmas card today is a DT inspiration for PapirPlaneten, a norwegian challengeblog and shoppe, where the January challenge is all Winter themed :) My main motif is an Elisabeth Bell stamp from SCACD named 'Cherry Blossom', I thought it looked a little newyears-y ♥ Sorry about the dark pics, the white looks grey for some reason!

Det beste jeg vet med kortlaging er å trylle med akvarellmaling, dies og papirer ~ og bruke mine distress inks og twinkling H2Os. Jeg er ganske så flink å fargelegge, og er vel noe av en perfeksjonist når det kommer til hvordan jeg plasserer ting på en kreasjon, ingenting er skjevt - medmindre det er gjort med vilje ;)

Trio of Toddlers!

Papirplanetens Mars utfordring er 'Baby/Barn/Dåp', og jeg har laget en trio av kort som mitt DT-bidrag! Hovedmotivet er et nydelig motiv fra Whiff of Joy & Elisabeth Bell kalt 'Willow with Toddler' ♥ Vi håper du blir inspirert til å delta :) 

Selv om babyen godt kan se ut som både gutt eller jente, ville jeg gjøre jentekortet enda litt mere 'jentete', så jeg tegnet en enkel liten sløyfe i håret på babyen med en vannfast svart penn (micron). Det er veldig kjekt å ha en slik penn for hånden om stempeltrykket blir litt utydelig en plass også, bare å tegne over med pennen! 

Jeg syns det er kjempesynd at WOJ la ned butikken og sluttet produsere stempler :( Fantastiske designere! Men du kan fortsatt finne dem rundtom hos forhandlere, bare pass på før de forsvinner! Du finner dette og mange andre WOJ stempler her hos PapirPlaneten :)

My trio of baby cards today are my DT inspiration for PapirPlaneten, an norwegian challengeblog and craft shoppe. The theme for february is all about babies & children ♥ The cute mother and child stamp is named 'Willow with Toddler' and is a design by Elisabeth Bell for the now discontinued shop Whiff of Joy. But you may still find WOJ stamps in various shops if you are lucky!

A black permanent pen is good to keep on han while u craft, mine is micron felt tip and I made a little bow for the girly baby, as well as had to redraw some lines that wasn't stamped well enough!

Two of the Willows were stamped a couple times and painted top half and bottom half, then cut and paperpieced with 3D foamdots. 
This makes the images really stand out, and with the twinkeling H2O paints I mixed with my favourite medium ~ Tim Holtz Distress inks, I am very happy with how they turned out. It's a bit difficult to see the shine, check out the butterfly close-up ~ the effect of twinkeling watercolors is gorgeous! ♥
