Blue Christmas

http://creativefingerschallengeblog.blogspot.no/

This is the first time I tried the USA version of an A2 card, how weird is that! An A2 is actually HUGE here, bigger than both an A4 and the A3. I think the most similar to their A2 is our A6. So I had to find all the measurements and voila! A lot of the dies I got from American brands have been made specially for their A2's, so I might start making more of them :)
This is the best source I found to explain card sizes at Card-Making-Magic.

My DT card for challenge #155. at Creative Fingers has a beautiful motif from our generous sponsor LeAnn's World 101.
As always Creative Fingers is having an 'Anything goes theme', and you are more than welcome to join with your creations ♥

Vornii the dragon Bookmark

I've made a bookmark / tag with a Alice in Wonderland theme, one of my favourite stories, and apparently Vornii the dragon is also a fan! ♥ It was actually the Hobbit by Tolkien he was reading, but I masked the text when stamping, and wrote in Alice instead :) Tried to take photos to show how shiny the gold & yellow details are, but it just have to be imagined!

Even though digistamps has an advantage of beeing able to print any size you like, nothing beats the crisp images when stamping with rubber,  and the feel of it actually fysically there in you hand ~ oh and the smell of new rubber! You can also use rubbers for a whole bunch of techniques ~ like stamping onto mixe media and into hot embossing powders etc. So, Rubber is absolutely my favourite.. but I do own a gazillion of both kinds! ♥

Hello dear Friend ♥

http://creativefingerschallengeblog.blogspot.no/

~ ♥ Hello, my dear friend ♥ ~
 ..

My DT inspiration for Creative Fingers challenge #154. wich is sponsored with a great prize by our Angelique this time. As always it is an 'Anything goes theme', and you are more than welcome to join with your creations :)

The team had free choice to use any motifs we wanted on this challenge, and I have tried to do clean and simple looking cards... but as always I fail big in that I always just need to add that little extra distress ink and a bit more detail ;) Oh how I wish I was able to copy Jennifer McGuire! Her cards always look so cool! ♥

It's maybe difficult to see in the other photos, but there is a lot of shine on the cards, using some Cosmic Shimmer mica powder in a water spray bottle.

Oh, and see the stray black dots? I forgot to use my anti-static tool before embossing! Darnit! One should always do that, especially with dark or black embossing powder ;)

Gilded Autumn greetings

I am very fond of using gilding flakes, but they sure are messy! They fly all over the place and get stuck to EVERYTHING.. A good tip for ya: Do not, and I repeat: DO NOT be sick with the flu or sore throat when using your gilding flakes.. ONE little sneeze and half the box of flakes went up in the air, and landed all over me and the table! LOL ;)

I've made an autumn themed card with the gorgeous background die I got in the mail recently, had to try it out as soon as possible, and it looks awesome when cut out ♥ And all the lovely flower stamps that I used, are called Chinese Lanterns or Japanese Lanterns, as well as Hozuki and the latin plant name Physalis alkekengi ~ see Wikipedia ~ and they were part of the September My Monthly Hero Arts kit.

Aaand if you're wondering where the blogcandy is at, that I promised for a while now, it is soon here! It's just taking a bit longer than I thought to go through all my crafty stash (too much stuff!), but I reccon that a week into november ++ I will have it all unpacked and somewhat sorted. And more things to put into the blogcandy is always a good thing right? :)
