Da jeg var på scrappetreffet arrangert av Bikuben (se forrige bloggpost) lagde jeg også denne tag'en som jeg ga bort i går 💗 Er veldig glad i å lage slike tags fordi de er perfekt til å bruke både som gavelapper, bokmerke eller som pynt! Jeg har masse tags til bokmerker for jeg leser opptil 4-5 bøker samtidig alt etter hva humør jeg er i 😊 Jenta som fikk denne ligner faktisk litt på alven 💗 like nydelig med langt lyst hår!

When I was at at the Bikuben scrap event (see previous blogpost) I also made this tag wich was given to the new owner last night 💗 I'm very fond of creating tags because they're perfect to use as gift tags or as bookmarks, or just a pretty decoration! I got plenty tags I use in the books I read, wich is typically up to 4-5 at a time. I pick up the book I am in the mood for, or want to get in the same mood as 😊 The girl who got this tag actually looks a bit like this fairy 💗 same long blonde hair and just as pretty!.

Vanligvis når jeg maler et motiv til et kort bruker jeg det siste jeg kjøpte eller har fått, og det er alltid moro med nye stempler! Men nå har jeg bestemt meg for å faktisk begynne å lage mere med mine gamle stempler ~ allfor mange som bare ligger helt ubrukt eller ikke hatt blekk på seg på mange år! Lovt meg selv dette flere ganger, men nå har jeg stemplet opp flere trykk og begyndt å male dem, så ingen unnskyldning nå når boksen med ferdige motiver står klar på bordet ;) 

Noen av mine gamle, pent brukte stempler og noen nye som jeg finner at jeg har kjøpt dobbelt av kommer i fremtidige RAK/bloggcandy'er her i bloggen ~ faktisk tenkt til å legge ut en ny bloggcandy senere idag eller imorgen, så følg med!

Usually my go-to when making a card is to use a recent purchased stamp or won image... Wich is all good fun, but I have decided to actually start creating more with my old stamps, wich I got way too many of thats just laying around all unused and uninked for years! Promised myself this several times, but now I have stamped up many different motifs and started watercoloring them, so there will be no excuses now that a box of finished motifs sits on my table ;)

Some of my old (nicely used) stamps, some new I find I have duplicates of will end up in future blogcandies ~ I'll have a new Blogcandy today or tomorrow actually! So do check back later on.

Techniques/Mediums:  I used misc. Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image, background and papers. I used a Core'dinations sand-it gadget to distress the embossed thanks paper, to get the white core revealed. And Prima ColorBloom 'Cotton Candy' spray mist on the envelope.

Faery Magic ♥

Har vært lite blogging og internett på meg i det siste, for ikke å snakke om kortlaging, mye helseplager :( Ikke så moro når hodet er fylt med idéer, men resten av kroppen ikke orker.. Det er da man trenger litt magi i hverdagen! ♥

My favourite type of card is Easel cards, and this fab Sizzix 'Card Center Step' die makes it so easy to get a real cool looking type of fold ~ just by cutting the cardbase once, the creases are all ready to fold, then decorate. No measuring needed! But if you haven't got this die, youtube is full of tutorials!  :)

On this image and card I have used my new PanPastels, as well as my Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and ofcourse Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads, to watercolor and distress image and papers. Glossy accents. And I also added a bit of doodling with my micron pen.

Ariel ~ Mermaid dreams under the Sea..

NB: This is a blogpost feauturing my niece's creations!

Jeg har noen flotte kreasjoner fra niesen min å vise frem! ♥ Jeg syns hun er kjempeflink til å være 10 år (11 år neste mnd.), men hun maser hele tiden om å bli like flink som meg, litt utålmodig kansje ~ de tre kortene nederst er fra 2013-2014 så øvelse gjør mester :)

Har hjulpet litt til med å fortelle hvor hun kan legge skygger, og jeg har tegnet og malt en havbunn for henne, hun fortalte hvilke stempler hun ville ha og hvor de skulle være. Hun har dilla på havfruer denne jenta! Men så har hun jo navnet til selveste den lille havfruen Ariel også da ♥
Ville vært en flott bursdags overraskelse om hun vant i en av utfordringene!

Theese creations are not by me but made by my niece, mostly all by her self ~ aren't they lovely? She's fascinated by mermaids, no wonder really as she is named Ariel ♥ On her mermaid painting I helped with drawing a ocean floor behind the stamps, which I also placed, after her instructions to which ones and where. And as she watched me paint shadows on the stampmotifs I was doing alongside her, she then imitated shadows here :) 

The cards below are from 2013-2014. So fun to see her artistic skill progress as she gets older! Keeping within the lines and fussycutting is a good skill to have, and something you ought to be able to do by her age. She's actually turning 11 next month! So it would be a fun surprise if she won in a challenge with her creation ♥

Creepy Color Purple!

Hadde lyst å virkelig utfordre meg selv med et kort, å lage noe nytt, for meg iallefall! Så jeg valgte på forhånd ut noen utfordrings blogger med temaer jeg ville bruke som inspirasjon. Ble fornøyd med resultatet også, selv om jeg til og begynne med var litt bekymret for hvordan jeg slulle lage motiv direkte på kortet, uten papirer og stæsj! OG i lilla!!! ;)

This was a really fun card to make! I chose theese themes beforehand to really challenge myself, and that I did! I think this is the first one-layer, no-designer-paper AND no-embellies card that I've ever done! And in Purple no less ~ a color I was not really a fan of, until now that is! Tim Holtz makes the most lushious colors, and I'm sure going to be using my purples more! :)

De siste kortene jeg har laget er egentlig ikke helt i min stil - jeg er mere glad i varme jordtoner, men - det er jo ikke jeg som skal få dem - det er mange som digger sterke farger ;) Her er enda ett snøhvit inspirert kort - som jeg har med i utfordring #83. hos Fab 'n' Funky - klæsj med farger! Også Crafty Cardmakers #50. Flutterbies, og Allsorts - uke 114, helt fritt tema :)

Recently there's been a LOT of colorful bright cards on my blog - wich really is not my style.. But after all, it's not me who's the recipient ;) I'm entering this in Fab 'n' Funky's #83. Clash of the Colours. Crafty Cardmakers #50. Flutterbies. And it's the last week 114, of open theme at Allsorts!

Etter den forrige bloggposten, en noe dyster utblåsning jeg trengte tydeligvis, går jeg tilbake til det bloggen min dreier seg om - kort og atter kort!...
Utfordringen for Juli mnd. hos Stamp & Create er å bruke bånd og sløyfer! Og jeg har endelig fått til å bruke min Bow Easy - kjempelett når man først har sett en video som forklarer hvordan man bruker den ;)

This months challenge at Stamp & Create is 'Ribbons & Bows', and I have finally dusted off the Bow Easy tool - wich I have been so frustrated about, not really understanding it.. But this great video tutorial by Jeanette instantly made me able to make great bows :) PS: Sorry about the dark photos - taken with my mobilephone as the camera was low on battery!

Here Come The Boys bloggens utfordring #2. er en skisse, og jeg har laget det siste konfirmasjonskortet på en stund ~ med favoritten Chester! Hos Simon Says er det 'Sparkle & Shine' denne gangen, og Creative Craft er helt vintage & distressed :)
The 2nd challenge at Here Come The Boys is a sketch by Wendy, and I got Chester on my card ~ again ;) For the 'Sparkle & Shine' challenge at Simon Says I added some shine with my glaze on the tophat & shirt, and I used H2O watercolors with my distress inks to color Chester ~ but the pic only show the sparkles in the rhinestones.. Can't get my camera to go BLING! *lol* And I also enter my card in for the Vintage/Distressed theme at Creative Craft Challenges :)
