It is spring and LOVE is in the air on my card today! 💗 (LOL not for me, just on my card!) I am sponsoring this time, so for my DT project for this fortnights challenge #228. at Creative Fingers, I used two of my own doodle digis ~ Love Doodle WordArt and the Swirly heart! Dies: Spellbinders™ Nestabilities 'Labels One s4161'.
Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder. High-Tack adhesive tape  Sookwang Scor-Pal tape &/or Red tape. Rangers Glossy accents.

Techniques/Mediums: I used misc. Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers.
Added glossy accents to flower details, and rubbed on wax on embossed surfaces as well as paper and card edges. Prima Finnabair wax 'Cire Cera Firebirds'. Viva Decór Inka Gold 'Brown-Gold'.

Har alltid hatt en forkjærlighet for havfruer og falt helt pladask for Hero Arts sitt klubb kit i mai ifjor ~ siden da har jeg fått hvert måneds kit fra dem og har alltid blitt superfornøyd med innholdet! I've always had a love for all things mermaids, and completely fell in love with the Hero Arts club kit of May last year. Since then I've subscribed to every monthly kit and have always been super happy with the contents! Fantastic kits, great value and quality :)

That mermaid kit was so special and became so popular that Hero Arts actually made it a permanent set in their catalog! (not the whole kit, just the stamps, stencil and dies as seperate buys). So now everyone can buy and play with theese gorgeous mermaids ♥

First I stamped several fish and the oyster, and a mermaid on watercolor paper with black archival ink. Then I used post-it notes to mask the stamps, and created the sandy seabed by tearing a piece of paper and using that as a mask. 
Inking with both regular distress inks and oxides as well as the ink cubes from the Hero Arts kit. The stencil that followed with the kit is just amazing, perfect to make it look like it's underwater, and it helps to splatter some waterdroplets too.
Now, the whole scene looked like a complete mess, but when you lift off the masks, the revealed scene is like magic  ..Then came the fun of coloring in the images :)

Stamps/Images: Hero Arts MMH May 2017 Mermaid kit clearstamps & co-ordinating dies. I also used the Hunkydory 'Beautiful Mermaids' clearstamps set (to get some extra fishes and seaweeds).
Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs. Bazzill cardstock and Bling cardstock. Plain white cardstock. Misc scrap pieces of designerpapers, vellum. Panduro Hobby 'Circus' 12x12 PP.
Embellishments: Multicraft 'Baby' craft medley cup sequins. Pink glitter Washi tape, from Panduro I think. Creative Expressions Self-Adhesive rhinestone gems.

Creative Expressions 'Australian Collection - Background Die Set' by Sue Wilson. Spellbinders™ Nestabilities 'Labels One s4161' and 'Grand Dies - Labels One'. Creative dies 'Ornate frames DIOB0049'.
Essentials/Adhesives: Gluedots. Double sided tape. 3D foam/mosegummi. High-Tack Double Sided Red Tape (Red Liner/Stix2/Miracle tape). Rangers Glossy accents, stickles. Hero Arts acetate.

Designteamet fikk bruke fritt av hva vi allerede har av motiver, og jeg har brukt et nydelig Hero Arts klubb kit jeg fikk i desember ifjor med orientalske motiver. Det minner veldig om Scheherazade, fortellersken i boka 1001 natt med favoritteventyr som Aladdin, Sinbad og AliBaba og de førti røverne! :)

The team had free choice to use any motifs we wanted on this challenge, and I have used the Hero Arts december 2017 club kit wich was arabian nights themed, and I believe one of the most beautiful kits Hero Arts have ever made ♥ My two previous blogposts is also using this kit!

I do not know if the artist intended it so, but the girl reminds me very much of Scheherazade from 1001 Nights, or Arabian Nights as it is also named. I had a version with only some of the stories (better suited for young children I assume) and I especially loved the stories about Aladdin, AliBaba & Sinbad.

Sorry for beeing a couple days late with my DT card for this fortnights challenge #133. at Creative Fingers. Having dealing with alot of health issues lately, and my hands has been very painful (psoriasis++), super difficult to craft when you can't bend your fingers ;)

I bought a new fun Balloon Step-Up Sizzix Die (it's on sale right now!) and thought it would be perfect to use with the toad and fairy ♥ The round shapes on each fold is actually meant to have balloon diecuts on them, but it can be used for many themes :)

The gorgeous IndigoBlu gilding flakes has been added to the diecuts the quick and easy way ~ super strong adhesive tape! 
Think it must be the most time consuming card I've ever done, started it a week ago! Although it's an easy fold card to make with the sizzix die, cranking the bigshot was the worst on my hands, and was only able to spend 15 minutes in my craftroom at a time. On the bright side, it turned out very pretty! :)

My main motif is a rubberstamp from Rebecca Sinz, the artist behind ElvenStar Art. It's an old Sweet Pea Stamp, but they have since closed shop, and are not so easy to find anymore. She sells some of her motifs as digistamps and coloringpages (find the fairy toad image here) in her etsyshop linked below :)
