Godt Nytt år! 🥳
Jeg starter alltid det nye året med mange gode forsetter, som å være mere produktiv, å bruke mere av det jeg har kjøpt og aldri bruker... men det blir jo ofte til at man ender opp med å bruke det aller siste stæsjet man har kjøpt.. DETTE året blir året jeg skal lage SÅ mye og bruke SÅ mye av mine nedstøvete, avglemte og uorganiserte (en ting til å gjøre ~ rydde opp i sakene!) scrappe-ting! 😏

Mange kreative bruker kun et merke produkter på et prosjekt, dies, stempler, medier og ark fra samme produsent. Det er helt greit selvsagt, men jeg er stor fan av å mixe og bruke ting sammen uansett merke! Som her med Hero Arts, Penny Black og mine egne digistempler sammen med mange forskjellige medier. Du får mye mere ut av stæsjet ditt og mer variasjoner, enn om man bare lager noe med samme merke 😊 👍

I always seem to start a new year with a lot of good intentions, like beeing more productive, to use more of the stuff i bought and never even opened.... But I always end up using my latest purchase on creations... THIS year will be the year I am going to use SO much of all my dusty neglected and disorganized (another thing i really need to do ~ organize my stuff) art supplies!!! 😏

A lot of creators use just one kind of brand on a project, dies, stamps, mediums and papers co-ordinating ~ and thats cool too, but I love mixing it up and use different brands together, like here I have Hero Arts, Penny Black and my own digis on the card with many different kinds of mediums! You get a lot more use of your stuff and more variations than with only using same brand on a project 😊 👍

Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder.

High-Tack adhesive tape Sookwang Scor-Pal tape &/or Red tape. 3D foam/mosegummi. Sakura GellyRoll gold glitter pen. The Rabbit Hole Designs Cottontail embossing powder tool.

Techniques/Mediums: I used Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors 'Apricot nectar' & 'Spiced pumpkin', and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads 'Ground espresso', Oxide inks 'Rustic Wilderness' & 'Broken China', plus Distress spray stain 'Lumberjack plaid', to watercolor and distress image and papers. I splattered with Alf Bjerke 'Gull 43' gold watercolor. To heat emboss I used a Versamark inkpad, a heat gun tool & Hero Arts clear embossingpowder.

First i made a big mistake though... I used an embossingink dabber on my LOVE watercolored image = soaked right through the paper!!! way to wet on the dabber (next time i will instead dab ink off and rub with a finger on top of the diecut or just use the inkpad straight away lol). And when all embossed and dry it was still so sticky/oily on the back that the adhesive tape just fell off. I saved it with trying to water it and dab it off, then adding Ranger Collage glue medium on the back, then the 3D foam after the glue dried, and that luckily worked out and it is stuck on good to the card now. Phew! 😅

Rakk ikke å lage så mye, og var til slutt ganske så knekt i ryggen og hendene, men oi så moro det er med en gjeng koselige damer som scrapper 'sammen', masse demoer og inspirasjon! 😀 Håper helsa er bedre neste gang det er onlinetreff i mars neste år!

Da jeg lagde et 'Håp' bilde til moren min forrige måned, så tok jeg vare på alle de bittesmå diecuts bitene i diesen og har jeg har lagd ett nytt 'Hope' med 'inlay' teknikken til dette kortet. Den aller beste til å lære bort den teknikken er Jennifer McGuire som du kan finne her på youtube!

I was at an online scrap crop event last weekend arranged by Bikuben, an norwegian crafty store. Didn't manage to create much, and by the end I was totally knackered in my back and hands, but OH how much FUN those events are! Lots of friendly ladies getting crafty 'together', demos and inspiration flowing, getting the old mojo a much needed kickstart. 😀 I just hope that my health is better on the next online event held in march next year.

When I made that 'Hope' decoration piece for my mum last month wich u can find in this blogpost here, I saved all the tiny pieces from the diecut word. For this card I used them to make a new word with the fun puzzle 'inlay' tecnique! The very best way to find more about that technique is checking out the many videos on Jennifer McGuires youtube channel!

Jeg var desverre ikke i form til å lage noe som DT inspirasjonsbidrag i forrige uke, men tenkte jeg kan legge inn i ettertid noen kort og en tag jeg ikke har fått blogget enda fra da jeg var med på Bikubens Vårscrapp online treff! Ingen tvil her om at favoritt teknikkene mine er tørr-embossing, heat-embossing og distressinks?
👓 Har fått nye briller, og for første gang er det progressive glass, noe som ikke har vært greit å venne seg til... følt meg sjøsyk og svimmel, migrene, og gått på dørkarmer og nesten ramlet ned trappa hjemme! Denne bloggposten har tatt over ei uka å skrive for bokstavene er litt 3D innimellom...

Unfortunately I was not able to create anything as DT inspiration for #231. at Creative Fingers last friday, having troubles with my eyes and a longlasting migraines on and off.. 👓 Got new glasses, wich now were progressive ones for the first time, and boy are they proving difficult to get used to!!! Been 'seasick', feeling naucious and dizzy, and going from moving my head to focus (instead of just shifting my eyes) has been the most straining.. It's starting to feel better now wich is such a relief! Won't miss almost falling down the stairs and stubbing my toes!!! ... and this blogpost has till now taken me more than a week to complete because the breaks from looking at the words on the screen is too much in 3D!

I will need to go back to get the glasses better fitting on my nose and over the ears, and the temple tips was tugging my hair out each time I took the glasses off, as the plastic tips was not flush with metal, hair got stuck so I had to wrap some dark colored washitape around them! .... yeah, I really wonder what the optician will say about the pretty black glitter washi when I go see them next week LOL! 😂

The challenge is still ongoing for about another week so this serves as a reminder post, adding theese retrospectively ~ and I get to show some cards and a tag I had yet to blog from the online crop event I attended last weekend of march 😊 Can u tell I LOVE to emboss? Both dry-embossing and heat-embossing are my favourite kind of technique, besides getting inky with distressinks 😍 I am sponsoring with 3x of my digistamps as prize, and as always, theme is anything goes. Techniques/Mediums: For the cards I used misc.  Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. To heat emboss, I used a Versamark inkpad and Versamark marker, a heat gun tool & Panduro Hobby copper/koppar embossingpowder. I used sandpaper to distress as well.
For the tiger tag I used Distress ink pads 'Vintage photo', 'Rusty hinge', 'Peeled paint', and Distress ink Spray stain 'Rusty hinge'. Distress crayons 'Vintage photo'. Viva Decor Inka gold waxes.

Techniques/Mediums: I used theese Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & Distress Stains to watercolor the owl image. I just dab a bit of ink on my Tim Holtz Tonic Studios mixed media mat ~ pick up ink with paintbrush + water. My favourite way to color images :)
