I have made this baby carriage for my sweet little niece Amalia ♥ who was born just a couple of days before my birthday ~ so it was double celebration time in my blogcandy ~ join up here! I used a tutorial in Magnolia Ink magazine to make this, see info at the bottom of the post.
I'm entering my creation at:
Bunny Zoe's Crafts #23. ~ Ribbon
Crafts & Me Challenges ~ Going 3-D (can't get more 3D than this *lol*)
Divas by Design #30. ~ Charmed I'm sure..
I brake for Challenges ~ Anything but a Card!
Moving along with the times #144. ~ Shabby Chic and/or Vintage.
Paper Sundaes #116. ~ Anything Goes.
Stamps/Images: PapirDesign Clearstamp sett 'Barnedåp'.
Papers: Bazzill cardstocks. And some recycled brown packaging cardboard (to stiffen up the button diecuts). Designer papers from Tim holtz idea-ology paper stack 'Vintage shabby'.
Embellishments/Tools: Kort og Godt - rose buds. Papirloftet - curly gardenia flowers. Panduro Hobby velvet ribbon, and scrapbooking moments adhesive pink pearls. Notabene bookstore JB pink pearl brads. Large open bear charms from Stamp and Create. Notabene pink rhinestone wings. Lace with white ribbon is from a local florist store. QuicKutz 2x2 die 'leaf RS-0101'. Papertrey Ink 'Buttoned up #1 die'. Spellbinder Nestabilities 'Petite Scalloped Circle Large'. Magnolia Doohickey's Dies 'Tilda Lace'. And for the handlebar, I've recycled some blank plastic from some packaging material. All edges are distressed with Tim Holtz distress inks (tea dye I think) & tools.
BTW: I have to specify that I've not come up with the idea of this babycarriage myself, but I've seen carriages like this online, and when I found the tutorial in Magnolia ink magazine no.1. 2012, by Camilla S. I decided to make one for my niece. Searching for a link to add to my post just now, to give credit ~ I was saddened to see the controversy, all honour to Maya, luv your carriages, but I also think that Camilla was simply inspired by many different bloggers, and her tutorial don't seem to rip off anyone. Anyhow, awesome inspirations sources to other crafters, hope to see lots more crafty creations and tutorials from both in the future :)
Flott vogn.
