I really enjoyed coloring this with bright chistmassy colors ~ but ofcourse I could not help myself, had to use some browns to edge up the papers vintage style ;) Can you tell the motif is super super shiny since I've used both Twinkling H2O's and Wink of Stella? Techniques: I always use my Scor-Pal to score n fold my cards. My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool and Foams. I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. Rangers Glossy accents. Wink of Stella 'clear silver' brush pen. Hero Arts 'Iridescent Gold Shimmer mist' ink spray (from the MH0817 My Monthly Hero Kit August kit). The ivy leaf diecuts have been inlaid into the red cardstock, and I used Scor-Pal (Scor-Tape Double Side Adhesive 5inch x 27yd. = BIG! and great value, got it from Blitsy) Sookwang tape behind to make the process easy to do, just popped it in place including the tiny bits :)

Men først tenker jeg å vise frem et kort jeg var veldig glad for å lage ~ min lille niese Amalia ble døpt ifjor, og fra meg kom det en altered bok-eske (skal blogge den også snart). De andre søsknene mine ga dette kortet. Og det ble også mange fine gaver både til den lille og til den stolte storesøster! ♥

As this is my blogentry #300, and to celebrate coming back to blogland after a years hiatus... I have some sweet candy for you below! Last year was my sweet niece Amalias ♥ baptism and I made this card to be given from the family. I also made an altered decoupage book case (box) that I'll blog about later on. 
Mo Manning is one of my favourite artists, and this sweet image is just one of many of her gorgeous designs. I especially love her children stamps, as they really look like actual children! :)

En av de digistempel skaperne jeg har dilla på for tiden er Saturated Canary 's Krista sine nydelige jenter, som denne søte vikingebærta! :)
Har ikke jeg en tøff bror? Sjekk denne artikkelen på VOL ~ hadde faktisk aldri trodd han skulle klare dette, og resten av familien, venner og kjærestn trodde det samme, men han trådde til og klarte det utrolige! Det er vel kansje litt Vikingblod i årene?! :) 

My brother Kevin have recently made an amazing trip by bike ~ With no form of training other than the occasional walking the dog and one testrun with his new bike & gear, just a week before this 70 mile long trip!!! Well, there's viking-blood in his veins I reckon ;) 

It's no secret that I have lots & lots of digi-stamps, Saturated Canary's Krista is one! I Luv her blog as well as the great images she creates ~ this viking-girl is really one of the coolest, and perfect for us in scandinava! Go check out the SC shoppe & be amazed! :)

Thinking of You...

Jeg gleder meg til å få scrappeboden min iorden, og en ordntlig krok med godt lys til å ta bilder av kort oa. kreasjoner.. Selv om det er strålende sol og godt lys (herlig sommervær idag! endelig er sommern kommet til vesterålen.. enn så lenge!) så blir ikke bildene bra nok... 
 Men endelig ser det ut som om planene om å få boden min omgjort til scrapperom skal bli realisert! Den har stått nesten ferdig i evigheter, mangler bare en benkeplate og to reoler under plata ~ som jeg skal kjøpe i neste uke når det kommer penger på konto. Er litt perfeksjonist, føler alt må være iorden før jeg kan sette ting der de skal være :) 
Fant ut at jeg er den heldige vinneren på Joanna Sheens ch. blogg av disse Giordano decoupage arkene idag! Gleder meg til de kommer ~ jeg er veldig glad i de nydelige katte og hunde bildene hans, har lagd mange kort med Giordano Cd'n jeg har kjøpt der.

I'm SO looking forward to finally getting my scraproom in order ~ then I'll be able to take better photos of my cards and creations :) It's been almost ready to move my stash into for ages.. only missing a bench and a couple of storage cabinet to put underneath, wich I'm gonna get next week! It's the perfectionist in me that wants everything to be in order before organizing and arranging my stash... :) 

 On another note ~ How lucky am I?! I won the blogcandy at Joanna Sheens ch. blog, a gorgeous set of Giordano decoupage. A fine addition to my Giordano CD, of wich I've made lots of cards by.

Phone Home!

Oæææ... jeg ser prikker når jeg lukker øynene! Bruker alltid å plukke frem en masse ark og pynt som passer til temaene til utfordringene eller stempeltrykket, og denne gangen tror jeg at jeg kommer til å drømme om prikker når jeg legger meg.. Trodde faktisk ikke jeg hadde så mye papir med 'dots' på! :) 

Teksten har jeg lagd selv i Paint, for jeg hadde ikkenoe stempel som passet til en gammeldags telefon ~ og jeg fant en font med ole brum bilder, perfekt til vintage kort.

I'm seeing dots when I close my eyes *lol* Have gone through my stacks of papers and found a ton of DP with dots on when i made this card, as well as dotty embellishments ~ didn't know i had as much! the text reads 'Phone Home!' and I made it in Paint, with an added pooh image font.

To get this 'splatter' watercoloring effect, the Digis was 'dipped' in blobs of Distress Ink (water spritzed all over the worksheet - see about 1:55 min. into this Tim's video on Youtube) ~ then dried with heat gun, repeated, and in the end also painted with Distress Inks ~ Tea Dye, Aged Mahogany & Vintage Photo.. My favourite Tim Holtz colors!
