Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder. Double sided tape. 3D foam/mosegummi. High-Tack Double Sided Red Tape (VLVS Miracle tape). Aleene's tacky glue. Tombow mono drawingpen black 03. Uniball Signo white pigment ink broad pen. Staedtler waterproof black 0.1 pigment liner pen. Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Micro Glaze.

Techniques/Mediums: I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and the Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers (you can see in the photo above) to watercolor and distress image and papers. Then I cut out my unicorn using my favourite fussycutting scissors, and a scalpel knife. I know you can cut on the tonic craft glass mat - but I want to keep it pretty for as long as possible, so I just use my old self-healing mat for such cutting! :)

Designteamet fikk bruke fritt av hva vi allerede har av motiver, og jeg har brukt et nydelig Hero Arts klubb kit jeg fikk i desember ifjor med orientalske motiver. Det minner veldig om Scheherazade, fortellersken i boka 1001 natt med favoritteventyr som Aladdin, Sinbad og AliBaba og de førti røverne! :)

The team had free choice to use any motifs we wanted on this challenge, and I have used the Hero Arts december 2017 club kit wich was arabian nights themed, and I believe one of the most beautiful kits Hero Arts have ever made ♥ My two previous blogposts is also using this kit!

I do not know if the artist intended it so, but the girl reminds me very much of Scheherazade from 1001 Nights, or Arabian Nights as it is also named. I had a version with only some of the stories (better suited for young children I assume) and I especially loved the stories about Aladdin, AliBaba & Sinbad.

Har printet ut denne unge løven, eller løvinnen? på bazzill for å få en fin struktur. Finner ikke cd'n i webshoppen akkurat nå, så den er kansje utsolgt, men ååå så mange fine bilder! ~ Har printet ut flere så det kommer flere kort i denne stilen etterhvert :)

This is an absolutely gorgeous lion image from Jayne Netley Mayhew, wich I printed out from a Joanna Sheen CD ~ they are so perfect for male cards!

Vintage Teddy Card & American Idol ramblings..

Ei venninne av søstra mi bestillte et kort hos meg, og hun plukket selv ut stempler og farger hun ville ha på det, så hadde jeg moro med å male og få alt til å passe sammen ~ tror jeg har fått det maskulint nok til en voksen mann? :)

.. *Sukk* Jeg sitter her og kan knapt konsentrere meg om å blogge jeg... Blir rent mo i knærne av den stemmen til James Durbin! ♥ Fikk ei cd-plate i posten idag, fra Amazon ~ 'Memories of a beautiful disaster' debut plata, er super fornøyd med den ~ passer perfekt inn i min musikksmak! Har også Cd'n 'American Idol Season 10 highlights' ~ James var min topp favoritt ifjor, sammen med Paul McDonald og Lauren Aleina. Hør Paul's sang med kjæresten Nikki Reed på YouTube ~ Now that I've found you! Vakkert... Også Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams og Scotty McCreery (som vant), var favoritter.. og jeg kommer sikkert til å kjøpe musikk fra dem også etterhvert ~ Men James skulle absolutt ha vunnet! 

This is a card a friend of my sister comissioned ~ a boat, teddy and the other stamps shown was picked by her, as well as the color scheme, and I had free hands to put it all together! It was very fun to make it all match and I hope she will like it and her friend to receive it! :)

I'm supposed to blog about this card, but I keep getting sidetracked by the cd that's playing in the background, wich I got in the mail today. Check out DurbinRocks.com to listen for yourself! (music player) And getting a little sentimental I got stuck on YouTube for a while, searching & listening for old videos... James was my absolute fave in American Idol last year, so ofcourse I had to get his debut album ♥ Paul McDonald, Lauren Aleina, Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams & Scotty McCreery were also amazing, and I followed them all the way. Many hours spent watching Idol, oh yes!

Durbin's version of 'Uprising' on Am.Idol was even better than the original by Muse! And when he sang 'While my guitar gently weeps' it was beautiful!... I'll never forget it. (This video is when he was on Ellen show after voted off). Here he is in Metal Heaven together with Judas Priest!!!

My fave Paul song was Maggie May (Rod Stewart) & this new one where he sing with his girlfriend Nikki Reed 'Now that I've found you' just melt my heart completely... ♥
Haley's 'House of the Rising Sun' & 'I who have nothing' (++)... AMAZING! I get chills .. Casey & Haley together on was Da Bomb! Check out this jazz duet they do 'Moaning' ~ all velvet and growls! Here is my fave Casey performances 'Harder to breathe' & 'Georgia on my mind' so much SOUL! And how cool is this duet with Jack Black!!! Fat bottom girls!
 Also listen to Laurens angel voice on 'Like my mother does' musicvideo wich she also did on Am.Idol. And her new song 'Georgia Peaches' from her debut! Scotty is the cutest, my mums top fave ofcourse, country all the way *lol* I love country too and he's just awesome in theese new musicvideos 'I love you this big' here & 'the trouble with girls'... but James still should've won in my opinion! ;) Well, I think that's just about enough ramblings on last years Idol.. just had to get it out there! And now I have a list of fave videos to go back and listen to whenever I want *lol*

Four legged friends!

Temaet 'Dyr/fire poter' hos Charisma Cardz passer meg kjempebra - har blitt mange slike kort i det siste :) Hooked on Crafts utfordring no.4 er Søt og kosete! Staffelikortet er en av mine nye favoritter, såååå søte dyreunger!

The theme is 'Animals/Four legged friends' at Charisma Cardz & I'm entering my easel card. Awesome theme - I've been doing a lot of those lately :) Also for my second card, Hooked on Crafts fourth challenge is 'Cute & Cuddly'!

a Gothic Wedding

Hva i all verden gjør man når man finner dette på scrappebordet? Jeg hadde malt opp dette digitale stemplet, og det lå i noen dager på bordet før jeg skulle lage dette kortet... Gjett om jeg føyk i taket da jeg så hva som hadde skjedd! Og ropte høyt navnet på den skyldige - ARIEL! ... Og lillesnuppas svar var; Æ skulle bare gjøre det enda finere for dæ tante!

Hmmm... Hvordan reagerer man på et slikt svar? Jeg kunne ikke si at hennes kråketær - som hun er VELDIG stolt av (begynner i 2 klassen til høsten) er noe jeg absolutt ikke ser på som en forbedring av det jeg lager... Hehe, men hun lovte iallefall å aldri tegne på mine ting mer ;)
Hun pleier å sitte på andre siden av bordet å male sammen med meg når hun er på besøk, stempler alltid opp litt ekstra på helt vanlig papir så jeg ikke sløser med akvarellarkene - og kjøleskapet er fullt av hennes kunstverk ♥


Men tilbake til kortet - som dere ser så fikk jeg reparert/dekt over krusedullene, men jeg ble bare sånn passe fornøyd alikevel - ettersom jeg hadde hatt planer om en annen layout.. Men niesen min blir iallefall til å huske at hennes fine bokstaver ikke passer på tante sine kort :)

My niece was the responsible artist of the doodle text u see on the top pic, then when I very angrily asked what the meaning of it was, she innocently replied - I just wanted to make it look even nicer for you, auntie! What can one say to that?? But she will not (probably) do it again *lol* She likes to sit and paint with me, so I stamp extra motifs on plain paper for her (not to waste my watercolor-sheets) and my fridge is full of her art :)
I was going to throw it away, but decided to see what i could do with it first. And luckily I was able to repair & cover up the doodles on the motif, but I'm not entirely happy with it as the layout wasn't was I had planned. However, a lesson learned for both aunt & niece! ;)

And my top tip is to just to try and repair the motif before chucking it in the bin - if an accident (or a deliberate crime!) happens to your creations ;)
