Steampunk Owl ~ Slimline card!

 

Ble litt vanskelig å ta bilde, så mye gull og glimmer! Slimlinekortet mitt her er DT bidrag hos Creative Fingers #212., og det flotte ugle motivet i steampunkstil, som kombinerer to ting jeg er veldig glad i ❤️ ~ det er fra vår nye sponsor LC Waterworth. SHINY! (Firefly fans will understand lol) It is no secret I love owls & all things steampunk/mechanical vintage ❤️ So I made a slimline DT card for challenge #212. at Creative Fingers, wich this awesome steampunk owl motif from our new sponsor LC Waterworth! Stamps/Images: LC Waterworth 'Steampunk Owl' digistamp.
Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs. Plain white cardstock. The clock is a cutout from Prima Marketing inc. 'Almanac collection' A4 Paperstack DCWV 12x12 'Sweet Chocolate Frosting GLTR' Designerpaper.
Embellishments: ...
Tools: I always use my Scor-Pal to score & fold my cards. My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams.
Stencils/Embossingfolders: Prima Marketing inc. Finnabair 'Swirly florals' stencil.
Dies: Mama Elephant Creative Cuts 'Slim Card Basics'. Lawn Fawn Cuts 'Fancy Wavy Banners', 'Large Slimline with Sliders' & the ♥ is from 'I Scream You Scream'. Die-Versions 'A Hint Of Lime DVF-3x3-083' alphabet die. Spellbinders™ Nestabilities 'Labels 18'.
Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder. High-Tack adhesive tape Sookwang Scor-Pal tape &/or Red tape. Ranger ink Glossy accents on details.

Techniques/Mediums: I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Mica Watercolors paints, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads (regular & oxides) and markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. I had printed out the owl on plain copy paper also, fussycut and used that as a mask when stenciling the background around the owl. The alphabet diecuts are cut out from a piece of cardstock with Viva Decor Inka Gold wax 'Gold' heavily watercolored on, and backed with sookwang sticky tape before diecutting.
