Bumblebee ~ Tag & ATC's 🐝

 

Da jeg var på scrappetreff arrangert av Bikuben i en privat fb event ~ Vårscrapp 25-27 mars, ble det også arrangert bytter av ATC kort og TAG for de som ville det. Det var kjempeflotte rabatter og jeg måtte jo bare kjøpe 'litt' snop til meg selv... har nettopp hatt bursdag og fikk igjen på skatten, så da ble det ikke bare litt snop.. men også BIG SHOT SWITCH Plus i Tim Holtz sort! Jeg fikk en nydelig vintage tag i posten for noen dager siden og min byttevenn har mottatt denne tag'en fra meg 💗

Har ikke mottatt ATC byttet enda (det er mye som skal sendes til en person og tilbake igjen.. slik at man ender opp med 9 ulike ATC'er inkludert en av mine egne), men jeg tar sjangsen på at ingen av mottakerene titter innom, så jeg kan vise frem mine her siden det er samme tema 😊 🐝

When I was at an online scrap event a fortnight ago, I signed up for swapping ATC's and a TAG after the event with some of the attendees. The event was held in a private fb event, arranged by the norwegian craft store Bikuben. There were such great discounts that weekend too (and I had money back on taxes) so I got myself not only a bunch of crafty goodies, but an awesome birthday present ~ the BIG SHOT SWITCH Plus!!! (photo further up) And ofcourse it is in Tim Holtz black! 😁 I am just SOoo happy with it, it is so good for my bad hands 👍 Check out Tim's Demo on the Switch here.

I got a gorgeous vintage tag in the mail a few days ago, and I sent my swap buddy this tag from me 💗 Haven't received the ATC swap yet, lots more logistics with many people and getting 9 ATC's in return, one of my own included. Could be awhile yet, so I am showing mine off since they're same theme as the tag... and hopefully none of the people in my group is looking in on my blog, don't want to spoil the surprise! 😊 🐝

Essentials/Adhesives: High-Tack adhesive tape Sookwang Scor-Pal tape &/or Red tape. Rangers Glossy accents. Creotime CC Hobby holographic gold foil added on top of hexagonal diecuts and tags edge on Simon Says Stamp tape glue runner adhesive dots.

Techniques/Mediums: Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads 'fossilized amber', 'dried marigold' & 'vintage photo' to watercolor the bees. For the tag background I ink blended with DI 'Mowed lawn', 'Peeled paint' & 'fossilized amber' plus Hero Arts ink cubes 'Moss' and 'Limegreen'. For the ATC backgrounds using Distress spray stains 'Mowed lawn, 'Savage patina', 'Mustard seed' and 'Wild honey'. 'Vintage photo' to distress image and papers. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors 'Ginger peach' to color inside the geo bee die. To heat emboss the tags top edge (after realising that the dot glue I used for my foil was TOO strong and still sticky) I used a Versamark inkpad, a heat gun tool & Ranger clear embossingpowder. The 'Flower garden' stamp on the ATC's was stamped on with Hero Arts multicolored reactive palette inkpad from the MMH0321 kit, then clear heat embossed, but first I sprayed the clingstamp and picked up the excess ink with a white cardstock that became a lovely background for the back of the tag!

I'm a day behind with my DT card for this fortnights challenge #195. at Creative Fingers, as I've had a longlasting migraine.. My photos were a bit off too, so just imagine that the yellow actually is a bright shiny gold and everything is all shimmery 😊

Techniques/Mediums: I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads, as well as some Inktense watercolor pencils from Derwent to watercolor the image. I needed the mermaids tail to be a little longer than the original image to fit my die frame so I doodled a little bit with a Pigma black felt tip micron marker pen.

The Moth Girl

Har jo lovet en bloggcandy her på bloggen, men det blir enda noen dager til.. Venter på en par pakker som det er noe oppi som skal i bloggcandyen, men ting tar jo ekstra lang tid nå i disse coronatider... Og når ting endelig kommer (alt etter om det er på døra eller på posten) så kan det ta lengre tid, siden jeg sjøl-isolerer og ikke har vært utafor huset på mange uker. Tar ingen sjangser her, siden både jeg og min mor som bor i etasjen over, er i høyrisiko gruppene. Heldigvis har jeg en bror som shopper, henter og bringer og setter fra seg ting på trappa til meg ♥ ♥ ♥

If you're on the lookout for my promised blogcandy, it's still a while to wait! Days, a week, I don't know. I'm self isolating so I haven't gone anywhere for many weeks now, during theese corona-times.. so unless it is a drop off door delivery, my brother does the shopping for me and fetching/sending post at the postoffice & stuff, leaving everything by the doo. I added tape behind the cutout motif, the holes then had adhesive behind it, so I rubbed some gilding flakes into them for a nice metallic look!

Sorry for beeing a couple days late with my DT card for this fortnights challenge #133. at Creative Fingers. Having dealing with alot of health issues lately, and my hands has been very painful (psoriasis++), super difficult to craft when you can't bend your fingers ;)

I bought a new fun Balloon Step-Up Sizzix Die (it's on sale right now!) and thought it would be perfect to use with the toad and fairy ♥ The round shapes on each fold is actually meant to have balloon diecuts on them, but it can be used for many themes :)

The gorgeous IndigoBlu gilding flakes has been added to the diecuts the quick and easy way ~ super strong adhesive tape! 
Think it must be the most time consuming card I've ever done, started it a week ago! Although it's an easy fold card to make with the sizzix die, cranking the bigshot was the worst on my hands, and was only able to spend 15 minutes in my craftroom at a time. On the bright side, it turned out very pretty! :)

My main motif is a rubberstamp from Rebecca Sinz, the artist behind ElvenStar Art. It's an old Sweet Pea Stamp, but they have since closed shop, and are not so easy to find anymore. She sells some of her motifs as digistamps and coloringpages (find the fairy toad image here) in her etsyshop linked below :)
