Har planer om å bruke dette arket som en detalj på en større art journaling side, men har ikke helt klart for meg hvordan den skal bli enda ~ kansje en galakse og dødstjernen, og en silhouette av Darth Vader? Hmmm...

Do you also hear the sound of Star Wars in the background while looking at this page? :) I found myself contstantly humming on the music from the movies while painting this absolutely gorgeous Leia tribute image ♥ 

I actually have big plans for using this piece on a bigger art journaling page, perhaps with a galaxy background and the Death star, and maybe a silhouette of Darth Vader? Hmm.. I'll have to do some more thinking on that :)

Stamps/Images: Oddball Art Stamps 'Big Eye Girl Princess Leia Tribute LizzyLoveIMG301' digistamp. Star Wars 'Princess Leia's Theme' musicsheet, found on Star Wars Wookiepedia, and the piece is composed by John Williams.
Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs, and I have printed the music sheet on the same watercolor paper.
Embellishments/Tools: Gluedots. Basic Grey (black tie coll.?) ribbon. Panduro Hobby ~ Tilda Mother of pearl 'Mist 480709' buttons (pärlemorsknappar).
 
Techniques: My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool and Foams. I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. I also used the 'Black Soot' DI spray, and Rangers ink Perfect Pearls Mica powder 'Perfect Pearl' (mixed with waterolors, plus in a spray mixed w. water directly on the whole page). 
I Love my mica powders, when added with water they do not rub off as easily as regular glitters, and doesn't stick everywhere :)

I have 'ink smooshed' the circles, and the main motif has been watercolored in a galaxy/night sky then splattered/flicked on some stars with white acrylic paint (watered down) with an old toothbrush :)

I love this sweet stamp motif by Lizzy, it's almost as if you can feel how fluffy and cuddly the stuffed animals are, and look how alive they are, as they would be to a toddler ♥

The gorgeous background papers is from one of my favourite designers Createwings ~ actually think I got mostly all Dawns digital kits! She's retired them all though, so I'm sorry they're not available anywhere anymore..
But she still creates art and lovely things! I got her wool felted soul stones on my wishlist ♥
 
I diecut the 'Baby' word in the background and glued the inside cuts only for a cool effect. Also used a lot of glossy accents as well as heat embossing clear emb. powder on the text, wich reads 'Welcome to the world'. And inside it says (very loosely translated) 'When a child is born, a star lights up in the sky/heavens, and gives a light/warmth to many hearts' ♥ ♥ ♥

There is a money/giftcard pocket too, easy to make with adhesive tape on the edges only, so something can be inserted at the top. I often do this, especially for weddings, confirmation and baby cards. This one I thought would look cute as a cloud shape!
