Time flies...

Et ordntlig maskulint kort dette, litt vintage og med nye flotte stempler fra Viva Las Vegas Stamps. De har utrolig mange stempler som passer til mer 'røffe' kort. Av og til virker det som om stempelverdenen er helt overfyllt med vakre og søte motiv, deilig og lage noe grungy ;)

A very masculine card today, with some of my new stamps from VLVS ~ they got a whole lot of motifs for the more vintage and 'rough' types of projects. Sometimes it seems the crafting world is overflowing with cute and pretty ~ it is such a relief to go grungy once in a while! ;)

Distress tools from Ranger Ink ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool and Foams. Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad: 'Black Soot' have been used to distress image and papers. And Archival 'Jet Black' to stamp.

Ariel ~ Mermaid dreams under the Sea..

NB: This is a blogpost feauturing my niece's creations!

Jeg har noen flotte kreasjoner fra niesen min å vise frem! ♥ Jeg syns hun er kjempeflink til å være 10 år (11 år neste mnd.), men hun maser hele tiden om å bli like flink som meg, litt utålmodig kansje ~ de tre kortene nederst er fra 2013-2014 så øvelse gjør mester :)

Har hjulpet litt til med å fortelle hvor hun kan legge skygger, og jeg har tegnet og malt en havbunn for henne, hun fortalte hvilke stempler hun ville ha og hvor de skulle være. Hun har dilla på havfruer denne jenta! Men så har hun jo navnet til selveste den lille havfruen Ariel også da ♥
Ville vært en flott bursdags overraskelse om hun vant i en av utfordringene!

Theese creations are not by me but made by my niece, mostly all by her self ~ aren't they lovely? She's fascinated by mermaids, no wonder really as she is named Ariel ♥ On her mermaid painting I helped with drawing a ocean floor behind the stamps, which I also placed, after her instructions to which ones and where. And as she watched me paint shadows on the stampmotifs I was doing alongside her, she then imitated shadows here :) 

The cards below are from 2013-2014. So fun to see her artistic skill progress as she gets older! Keeping within the lines and fussycutting is a good skill to have, and something you ought to be able to do by her age. She's actually turning 11 next month! So it would be a fun surprise if she won in a challenge with her creation ♥

Techniques: This year I have 'finally' allowed my niece to use my precious Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor with. For the three cards she used plain regular cake watercolors and markers.

Tequila Sunrise!

One Tequila. Two Tequila.. Three Tequila... Floor!  

Har alltid vært glad i drinker, cider og likører ~ mye heller det enn øl.. Baileys er favoritten, Bloody Mary og friske citrus drinker. Om jeg drikker øl, er det gjerne Heineken, Carlsberg, Sol eller Corona med en lime oppi! Så jeg har et lite men godt utvalg av diverse flasker i barskapet for å mikse til med :)

Tequila Sunrise er både en klassisk drink og navnet på en god gammel film med Mel Gibson, Kurt Russel and Michelle Pfeiffer. Et par år etter filmen kom ut var jeg på ferietur på Gran Canaria med faren min, var vel sånn cirka 14 år da, og fikk min aller første drink ~ en (ganske svak) Tequila Sunrise med mini-paraply og stjerneskudd ;) Den har vært en favoritt siden ♥ Smaker av gode minner..  Flere gode 80'talls drinker med oppskrifter på her!

Ikke bare minner fra 80'tallet i denne bloggposten, har også lagd et kort med et motiv fra SSD, og jeg klarte den tabben å fargelegge kirsebæret grønt!! Tenkte nok på Bloody Mary med oliven først ~ og så malte jeg isteden drinken om til appelsinjuice med grenadine og tequila.. oppdaget ikke det grønne kirsebæret før jeg hadde tatt de første bildene! LOL sånn kan det gå.. Tok en rød distress marker over bæret, og med litt rød stickles ser ingen feilen.. bortsett fra at jeg viser det her.. ;) 
 Og er det ikke en fantastisk sizzix die jeg har fått meg, som kutter et slikt kort som dette? Så kjapt å lage ~ med flott resultat!

I have always been fond of cocktails. Would much rather mixing drinks than a pint of beer! Baileys is my favourite, and Bloody Mary's ~ and any kinda citrus sort of drink. If I drink beer, I am very picky, like Heineken, Carlsberg, Sol or Corona with a wedge of lime in it.. So I keep a good stock of misc. bottles in my little bar-cabinet :)

Tequila Sunrise is both a classic drink and the name of a good old movie from the late 80's starring Mel Gibson, Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russel. A couple years after the movie (I was about 14 years old) me and my dad was on vacation on Gran Canaria, and I got my very first 'grown-up-drink', a Tequila Sunrise (very weak though) with a mini umbrella and sparkler! It's been a favourite ever since. Tastes like good memories ♥

It's not just reminiscing in this post, I also have a card to show, as well as showing you my olive-mistake.. (see further up). I colored over the green with a red distress marker, and added red stickles to it ~ noone but you know it looked like an olive before.. LOL ;)

Isn't this a fab folding technique? And SUPER easy it was ~ really! It's all done by one sizzix die! How cool is that, didn't even have to measure and stress about cutting and scorelines, it's just one pass through the BigShot, and fold = Done! Well, almost.. Had to decorate it too ofcourse :P (video by the designer Lori Whitlock)

a Halloween Wedding!

Dette er et helt spesielt staffeli kort med Halloween Bryllupstema, til to ungdommer som skal gifte seg i oktober ~ sønnen til Betty og dama har fått et eget stempel, tegnet av mor sjøl, som vi har fått i bytte mot å lage og sende kort til paret ♥ Moro å lage et bryllupskort etter oppskriften Sort, Krem og Lime + Frankensteins monster og hans brud! Litt utenom det vanlige ;)

This is a special Halloween Wedding themed easel card made for SBS Betty's boy Christian and his girlfriend ♥ Betty designed especially this image so we could send a bunch of fun cards to the happy couple! Never made a wedding card quite like this I tell u, Black & Cream with a touch of Lime.. And Frankensteins monster and his bride! :)

Once Upon a Time... Snow White

Jeg har vært kjempefan av Disney siden jeg var liten, eier stort sett alle de klassiske tegnefilmene, og det er ganske mange! Da det begyndte å bli en trend med 'ordntlige' serier og filmer basert på tegnefilmene for noen år siden, var jeg bare helt ♥ ^_^ ♥ jippi!
Serien 'Once Upon a time' er en stor favoritt, gleder meg kjempemye til nye episoder ~ sesong 5 kommer 27 september i USA, så kansje i begynnelsen av oktober kommer de på norske skjermer? :) Her er en par linker: sniktitt på ses.5. ~ The Dark Swan shall rise... o_O Dette blir spennende! Og for et tilbakeblikk på Emma Swans historie til nå..

I have been a big fan of the Disney movies since I was a child, and I own most of the classic animated movies, it's become quite the large collection by now :) When it became a trend some years back to make a lot of 'real' movies and series based on the Disney stories and older fairytales, I was like.. YES! Give me more! ;) 
One of my absolute favourite tv-series is 'Once Upon a Time', the fairytale villains and heroes are just fantastic in 'real life' ♥ Hopefully we will not be too far behind USA in the new season 5's showing schedule, it is supposed to air 27th of september. If u wanna take a peek at the new season, it's here: The Dark Swan shall rise. And to get a recap of Emmas story (the main character and Snow White and Prince Charmings daughter!) watch this one first! Really reccommend this tv-series if u are into fantasy and luv fairytales ♥

Pool Time Shaker Card

Jeg har visst fått en forkjærlighet for Simply Betty stempler i det siste, men de er jo bare helt skjønne ~ og denne karen er perfekt for et sommerlig kort! Det er flere år siden sist jeg har lagd et shaker kort, og måtte lete lengelenge for å finne noe å putte oppi ~ tilslutt tok jeg et smykke jeg vet jeg ikke kommer til å bruke, og vips shaker-kort! :) 

I seem to do alot of Simply Betty Stamps cards lately, but who could blame me.. they are so frickin' CUTE! ♥ ♥ ♥ I really enjoyed coloring up this sweet summer boy :)

My Top Tip: Re-use old jewellery, or buy cheap when on sale, necklaces and earrings etc. and use them in your crafting! I didn't find any sequins or shaker pearls to fit my card colors today, so instead I gave an unused necklace a new life! I even re-used the clear plastic off a Spellbinder packaging, it was a bit thick so it was hard to get through the embossing in my Big Shot, so look for thinner plastic for shaker-windows if u plan to emboss! 
Instead of throwing out in the trash those empty plastic casings, save them ~ it's even great to store ez-mounted stamps on clear plastic! No need to shop for all of your crafting supplies ;)
