My DT creation for the Creative Fingers Challenge blog ~ This time around our sponsor is ArtByMiran, and I got this sweet cupcake-girl to color up! If you want to join us in Challenge #24, it's Anything Goes with an optional twist of 'Anything But A Card'! 

I've altered a giftbox I found on sale in the local bookstore. Dressed it with an owl fabric I found to be very cute, got five metres of for about 4$! And I actually stitched the sides of the box ~ wich ended up really ugly looking and my fingers hurt like... *bleep*.. But it will make a nice present for my sweet niece who's been asking me for a secret box to hold her keepsakes in ♥ and to give her the Hits for kids CD I also found on sale! 
 
Don't u just love shopping AFTER the holidays? Everything is so much cheaper, calmer and stressfree ~ I've even stocked up on lots of birthday and friend gifts to give away during the year, alot of this years christmas pressies too! 
I also swipe a good deal of free gift wrapping papers after shopping in a store ~ even if I just buy something for meself, so I don't have to buy expensive paper-rolls to wrap in when a gift is due! *Hush hush*... 
So that's my Top tip for today ~ be thrifty and save yourself some time and money.. so that you can buy more sweet crafty stuff for yourself! 
.. And to please find out how to sow before stitching away on your project ;) Top Tip has a great list ~ I really wish I'd printed out and looked at while before I started sowing *lol* Been several years since I last tried :)

Can you tell that I've been playing with my awesome Dylusions ink sprays by Dyan Reaveley? If Tim Holtz is my King, then Dyan Reaveley surely must be the Queen of Scrap!!! Have you seen her videos on YouTube? I've been totally addicted to Tims tutorials for years ~ never been able to craft like him.. Keep on trying though! *lol* Go to his blog > here < for tons of inspiration and videos!!!

I've found some seriously talented artists on YouTube over the years, Dyan is one (LOVE her cheery fun personality!), and Brett Weldele is another AMAZING artist! He's the one who's drawn the vintage gentlemen in hats that Tim Holtz have taken in his line of awesome stamps! Got a tag to ink up on my craft desk right now with the guy in Brett's Steampunk Distress ink painting seen > here < Enjoy! WonderWoman!

Har alltid elsket å lese tegneserier, og mye var fra Marvel og DC. comics da, som WonderWoman.
Nå for tiden går det mest i bøker - Fantasy, på engelsk. Men jeg kjøper også enkelte tegneserie album som 'fortsettelser' på tv-serier - Buffy, Charmed, Farscape ++ og jeg går ikke glipp av ett eneste Nemi.. og jeg prøver fremdeles å komplettere Alvefolket album samlinga jeg begyndte på i 12-års alderen. Så synd de er jæskla vanskelig å få tak i! Noen har fått skyhøye antikvariat priser også...

Her er en gammel LO av meg i 4-5 års alderen! Hehe, SÅ typisk 70'talls-tapet! :)

Fantomet ♥ var min aller første helt (sånn rett etter pappa, som jo var den største helten!)

Pappa brukte å lese Fantomet, Tarzan, Supermann og Sølvpilen (+ Conan, Tex Willer oa. som jeg ikke fikk lov å lese), da jeg var liten. Lærte å lese stort sett på egenhånd gjennom disse tegneseriene, samt Donald og Bamse - oj ja husker dere Pellefanten? Tuppen &  Lillemor? Blokkskrift var så mye lettere å forstå husker jeg :) 

Men tilbake til DT-kortet mitt! I've always loved to read comics ~ especially as a child, and alot has been from the Marvel & DC Universes, like WonderWoman :) Actually learnt to read with comics! First with Donald and kiddiecomics like Bamse & Pellefanten (don't know wich name they go by in english - but they're pictured in my layout (old one) of myself as a child above... Later on it was the Phantom, Tarzan, Superman and other of my dads fave comics that also became my first heroes ~ beside my dad ofcourse! ♥

Nowadays I read mostly books, especially fantasy. But still read some graphis novels, like the continued Buffy, Charmed etc. series. I collect ElfQuest (the old albums) & have read most Nemi albums published :)

Almost didn't get my card in for this one ~ I accidentaly ripped one of her limbs off when mounting, so had to ink up another one.. Luckily, that happens very rarely as I spend ALOT of time on watercoloring, even more so than the cards, and I'm a perfectionista when it comes to making cards.. never completly satisfied ;)
