 'Tindaloo Alcohol Ink Play freebie'

I made three alcohol ink backgrounds, the largest is my favourite so I digitized it so it could be printed out again and again. Doesn't it kind of look like viruses? Was going for an abstract floral feel, but the more I look at it, the more it looks a bit.. alien.. LOL! Hope you will enjoy it :)

I have used the alcohol ink landscape background on this card ~ Blue Christmas. And the third one, my 'splotchy swirly yupo' (a paper wich is new to me, so we're not quite friends yet..), that was my least favourite one. But I have still used it on the card I'm sharing today! Since the die cover most of it up it is looking good even though I messed it up :)

The fairy wings is paperpieced and she's popped up on 3D foam dots.

I had stamped, then fussycut out all the images from leftover paint splatter sheets, adding shading afterwards with my watercolor pencils. I then diecut the shapes from white cardstock and glued the images on to leave a nice white edge. A super fun card to make, and certainly not the last I make with this awesome Hero Arts kit!

Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs. Bazzill Bling pearl white cardstock. Plain white cardstock, and unknown blue cardstock used as base (MM?). Dovecraft 12x12 'Fantasy' designer paper pack. DCWV 'Rockstar' 12x12 stack.
Embellishments: RibbonGirls pink glittery ribbon.
Tools: I always use my Scor-Pal to score n fold my cards. My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams. EK Success® Whale Of A Punch 'Large Circle 1.75'.
Stencils/Embossingfolders: none.
Dies: Hero Arts 'MMH December 2018 kit' co-ordinating dies. 'MMH May 2018 Tree of Life kit - Window fancy tree frame' die. Spellbinders™ Nestabilities 'Labels 4 S4190'.
Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder. High-Tack Double Sided (Red Liner/Stix2/Miracle) tape and Sookwang Scor-Pal tape. Ranger Collage glue stick.
Techniques/Mediums:  I used misc. Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads to watercolor and distress images and papers, as well as both Derwent Inktense & Bruynzeel aquarelle ink pencils. Hero Arts 'pink glimmer' lacquer glue pen from the january kit, and the Sakura GellyRoll glitter pen that came in the December kit.

I used a heatgun tool and blew some Ranger Ink Alcohol solution &  Alcohol Inks onto Yupo paper: Sail boat blue, Flamingo, Patina, Amethyst. Purple foil added to 'sticky bits' of the alcohol ink background, not showing up so well in the photos though... And I also used my brand new Alcohol Lift Ink pad. See Jennifer McGuire's 'Alcohol Lift Ink Techniques' on youtube, and also ofcourse Tim's own tutorial on youtube, it's a fantastic must have tool if you're into alcohol inks!

And as promised a while back, I would have some yummy blogcandy for my followers soon... Well, finally it is here! We moved house several months ago, but the sorting out my new craftroom has really been taking a lot longer than I thought! .. and with my bad health slowing things down, both for me at home and online, has made my blogging a bit neglected.. I'm truly sorry to not have time or energy to comment on your wonderful crafty blogs ♥ Lets wish for a better healthier & craftier new year in 2019!

I seriously need to de-stash ALOT as I am kind of a hoarder in crafty stuff... and you will benefit from that all throughout the next year! I have a large box that's been filling up with all sorts, some well loved and used crafty stuff as well, wich I'm hoping will find new owners. There will be at least five boxes/envelopes full of crafty goodies, so keep a lookout! I think you will agree that the first giveaway I have is a good mix for any crafter ♥

Et typisk mannfolk kort, veldig enkelt kort og lage, men ikke helt CAS alikevel. Prøver fremdeles å finne ut formelen for å lage 'rene og enkle' kort, vet jo det er 'bare' å holde seg til åpne/tomme oftest hvite rene flater og gjerne kun en detalj eller to på kortet. Jeg beundrer de som får det til ~ slik som Jennifer McGuire. Føler liksom alltid at jeg 'må' tilføre mere detaljer og mere distressing når jeg lager et kort. Muligens er min hjerne for rotete... eller for mye på bølgelengde med Tim Holtz ;) MEn jeg gir ikke opp jakten på et CAS kort enda! 

Jeg har forresten en blogcandy som du kan være med på trekningen til ~ her ~ om du enda ikke har sett den! Bare noen dager igjen!

A quick share today with a masculine card that was super easy to make, although with the lack of empty or white space, not sure it counts as a CAS card. Still trying to find out how to do those... I greatly admire those able to do clean & simple cards, like Jennifer McGuire ~ I always feel I 'have' to add some form of distressing to it, and more and more details, until it's completely filled up and that empty space eludes me... My brain is possibly to messy or to tuned into Tim Holtz ;) Gonna keep on trying for that CAS card though!

Vintage Glow in the Dark Alien!

 

Beklager veldig mørke bilder først og fremst. Har ikke funnet ut av kamera innstillingene til ny-telefonen min!

Har hentet inspirasjon fra noen sci-fi favoritt filmer og tv-serier til dette vintage Alien kortet. X-files, Men in Black, Independence Day, Roswell, Dark Skies, Nærkontakt av tredje grad, Taken, SG-1 og Stargate Atlantis +++  Tenk Roswell, Area 51 og UFO'er... Einstein er kjent for å ha trodd på muligeheten for liv på andre planeter, så jeg syntest han passet godt inn på kortet mitt!  

Er ikke den selvlysende effekten stilig? Man får både nuvo drops som lyser i mørket og flere produsenter har selvlysende embossing pulver! Har kjøpt WOW sin, men ikke fått prøvd den enda, kansje på neste prosjekt!

Sorry about the dark photos first of all, haven't figured out my new phone camera settings yet! 

I've found inspiration from some of my favourite sci-fi movies and tv-series like X-files, Men in Black, Independence Day, Roswell, Dark Skies, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Taken, SG-1 og Stargate Atlantis ++ Think Roswell, Area 51 & UFO's... Einstein is known for believing in the possibility of life on other planets, so I thought he'd fit perfectly on my card!

Don't you love the awesome glow in the dark effect? You can get both luminescent glowdrops from Nuvo, and several brands has embossing powders that does that also! I just got WOW's but not had a chance to try it yet, maybe that will be my next project :)

Magical Baby Dragon

Kortet mitt med den herlige lille dragen er mitt DT bidrag hos Creative Fingers #156. Digistemplet 'Dinky baby dragon' er fra vår flotte sponsor Morgan's Artworld. Hadde selvsagt ingen dies store nok etter jeg hadde drodlet og malt, så det er ganske enkelt, og jeg måtte prøve et litt annet format denne gangen for å få plass, ca. 21 cm bredt kort! Håper bare at jeg har store nok konvolutter ;) Som alltid har vi et 'Lag-hva-du-vil' tema, og velkommen skal du være!

My DT card for this fortnights challenge #156. at Creative Fingers has a supercute baby dragon motif from our sponsor Morgan's ArtWorld. I printed him out a bit too large, and after doodling and painting, I found I didn't want to crop the image either... So I had to try a bigger format card this time, about 21 cm wide! Hope I find an envelope big enough in my stash ;)

Har migrene igjen, så jeg sitter oppe inatt og akkurat nå er det ikke så ille, så jeg får gjort ferdig denne bloggposten ~ for lite koffein i kroppen er også en trigger :P Så ikke bare et kaffe tema på kortet mitt, jeg sitter også med en stor kopp med kaffe mens jeg skriver :) 

... PS: Ikke gå glipp av mine to bloggcandys med masse flott scrappestæsj som jeg gir bort! :) 

I'm currently having a migraine, again... but it's not as bad right now, and since I'm not going to get any sleep soon, I'm finishing up this blogpost. Too little coffeine in my body is also a trigger :P So I'm not only sharing a coffee themed card, I've also got a huge cuppa coffee on my desk while typing :)
