En klem fra hjertet!

Helt sånn i siste minutt fikk jeg levert et kort inn til Trykkpressa i kveld *puh* Jeg ble helt forelska i det orginale kortet i en av utfordringene (bilde lengre ned) det var så nydelig ♥ lagd av Elin ~ Papirmølla. 
Ble en veldig kjapp scrappelift da, siden jeg begyndte så sent med det, men jeg likte godt enkelheten ved det ~ kansje det blir flere sånne kort :)

I was really running late with blogging my card tonight! I wanted to enter at my fave craft magazine, Ett Trykks celebration of World Cardmaking Day ~ and it was a scraplifting challenge by Elin, to lift this faboulous card ~ her blog is Papirmølla if u want to look at her other creations ♥ 
I focused on the lovely heartshape and text inside to create my card, and having only minutes to spare, I kind of rushed it so it became a simple design. But I like it! Very elegant look I think, and the sentiment is really standing out.

Techniques: I always use my Scor-Pal to score n fold my cards. I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed). My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use! ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams. Just HAVE to get those edges inked! I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads 'Tea Dye' and 'Vintage Photo' to distress image and papers. Prima chalk ink 'white'.

It's hunting season right now, which matched the masculine themed birthday card I was gonna make. Octobers DT inspiration for PapirPlaneten, a norwegian challengeblog and craft shoppe. Really had lots of fun figuring out how to make this scene, does it look like it's some snow on the ground there? Did some  Distress ink-smooshing to make that indication :)

I love this sweet stamp motif by Lizzy, it's almost as if you can feel how fluffy and cuddly the stuffed animals are, and look how alive they are, as they would be to a toddler ♥

The gorgeous background papers is from one of my favourite designers Createwings ~ actually think I got mostly all Dawns digital kits! She's retired them all though, so I'm sorry they're not available anywhere anymore..
But she still creates art and lovely things! I got her wool felted soul stones on my wishlist ♥
 
I diecut the 'Baby' word in the background and glued the inside cuts only for a cool effect. Also used a lot of glossy accents as well as heat embossing clear emb. powder on the text, wich reads 'Welcome to the world'. And inside it says (very loosely translated) 'When a child is born, a star lights up in the sky/heavens, and gives a light/warmth to many hearts' ♥ ♥ ♥

There is a money/giftcard pocket too, easy to make with adhesive tape on the edges only, so something can be inserted at the top. I often do this, especially for weddings, confirmation and baby cards. This one I thought would look cute as a cloud shape!

Goth Girl ♥ Birthday card

Må bare beklage at jeg har vært lite å se rundt i bloggland i det siste, slitt med helsa, og akkurat nå har jeg også hatt behandling for psoriasis på hendene med UV-lys 3 ganger i uka, to timers biltur hver gang.. Så slitsomt, men oi for en forandring! Har ikke hatt så fine hender på 15 år! Så tommeln opp for det :)

I have to apologize first of all for my absence around blogland, and commenting which has been sporadic at best. My health has not been so good, and the last weeks has been especially taxing. Having psoriasis treatment with UV lights on my hands three times a week for barely 3 minutes each time - but having to travel two hours for it anyway is very tiring, when my back is already bothering me and other fibromyalgia pains. Just happy migraines been playing nice, knock on wood ;) But my cracked hands are almost completely healed, not looked this good in 15 years, so I'm very happy about that! (It used to be such a big bother to get ink in those cracks too, looked even worse *lol*)

I wanted to make a both cool girly and goth themed card, and this digistamp from SLSLines was just perfect ♥ It does not show up very good it the photos, but it's a very textured card, with acrylic paint dabbed through stencils, bling and silver ribbon, embossed details and heatembossed text. 
I'm totally in love with my new Marianne Designs die! That gorgeous frame, so detailed and cut a perfect result on my watercolor paper.

Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers, and for stenciling. Dabbed some black acrylic paint through stencils, and used sandpaper on some edges to get out the white core. 
To get great result with the heatembossing of the text, I used Versafine Onyx black inkpad, my MISTI stamping tool, Distress Embossing inkpad and Rangers clear embossingpowder. And added some more shine with Glossy accents.
