It's River Song (spoilers *his wife*) who says 'Hello Sweetie!' whenever she catches up with the Doctor, so it's a great sentiment to have on my Doctor Who themed card. The main motif is not just an ordinary oldfashioned police phonebox, but a time travel machine! Which ofcourse is much much bigger on the inside..
I thought I needed an sci-fi background to go with my awesome VLVS stamps, and have used a real cool stencil by Patti Tolley Parrish aka Inky Obsessions, who looks kind of techy and alien. Patti is one of the people I follow on youtube, such a creative and funny lady! Here's her channel if you want to have a hoot :)

(hard to tell, but the embossing really shines, and there is twinks and mica spray sparkles too)

Techniques: I always use my Scor-Pal to score n fold my cards. I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed). My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use! ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams. I used misc. blue Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads to watercolor and distress image and papers.
For the stenciling I used Ranger ink clear embossing powder. After heating it up, I used 'Hickory smoke' and 'Black soot' DI to color the square. Mica powder + water in a spray = shiny misting spray on top of the distress inked and stenciled embossed background.
For the bluish bacground inside: The stencil was flipped over with the remaining embossing ink on it for a second print, which kind of looked cooler than the first!
Gorgeous card Tindaloo, the whole Dr Who theme is fabulous! :-D
