I'm really enjoying creating in an art journal, I feel I have no self-inflicted restrictions when I make something for myself, a page in my own book.. I'm sure it's like that for other crafters too - you hesitate using up your prettiest embellishments and designerpapers, because when u do, you'll never see them again.. Like this fabulous background I made from one of my favourite paperstacks, DCWV 'Once upon a time'.
For this fortnights challenge #119. at Creative Fingers we are lucky to have two fab sponsors, Bugaboo Stamps & Star Stampz, and as always it is an 'Anything goes' theme. You are more than welcome to join with your creations! :)
As a bookworm myself, I am totally in love with Star Stampz adorable little Book elf, and elves n fairies is always very welcome in my stash ♥ The image on the left of my art journal spread is from the old childrens book I'm working in! (The fairytale is named 'the Princess and Henrik'). Recycling an old book instead of buying a brand new expensive journal to create art in is a great budget saver :)

I have created a color swatch chart for my distress inks and various ink sprays into a .pdf file of my scanned chart.
(It's a blank one I had drawn in approx. A5 size with all the names only. The first ten pages has the distress ink names on it, the next pages are some of my other inks, so when printing, print out pages 1 - 10. Or all pages if you want those too ofcourse!)
You may use it as your own color referance, if you'd like to have it? It sure made my life easier! I can now find the excact shade of color and match it up to my images when I paint :)
