Once upon a time...

 ...there lived a beautiful princess ♥

Det som tar aller størst plass i filmsamlinga mi er Disney filmer, tror nok jeg har så og si alle klassikerne og mange av oppfølgerne. Gleder meg stort til vi endelig får Disney+ til Norge! Endelig får vi også sett the Mandalorian og baby Yoda ;) 
Kan du gjette hvilke to Disney prinsesser jeg hentet inspirasjon fra da jeg lagde denne mixed media artjournaling siden? *svar nederst i bloggposten*

Egentlig handlet sidene - før jeg endret den - om en helt annen historie om 'Den forheksede prinsessen'. Illustrusjonen helt til venstre er det eneste jeg beholdt av barneboksiden, noen ganger beholder jeg deler av tekst og bilder og andre ganger har jeg malt over alle detaljene. Ikke alle illustrasjonene som er like flotte som dette ;) 

Boka den heter 'Verdens vakreste Eventyr - 6. bind', funnet til en billig penge på en brukthandel. Nå får den nytt liv som artjournaling eventyr bok! Du kan se alle de andre sidene jeg har laget i den her: Bloggposter om Art Journaling.

The biggest part of my movie collection are Disney animated movies. Think I almost have all the classics now, and alot of the sequels. I'm really looking forward to when we will get Disney+ here in Norway. Very unfair that we haven't already! ... I have no idea what all the fuzz is about the Mandalorian and baby Yoda!!! ;)
Can you guess wich two Disney princesses I got my inspiration from for my mixed media artjournaling page spread? *answer at the bottom of post*

Actually theese pages, before I altered them into an art journal spread, were a whole other story but about 'the enchanted princess'. You can tell by the image she is a princess, so I thought it would fit my own princess story. That illustration to the left is the only thing I didn't paint over, sometimes I keep more of the original pages, but not everything in the book looks as good as this princess image ♥

I picked out paints and papers from my stash 
with colors that matched the princess illustration.

The book is named 'Verdens Vakreste Eventyr' wich translates into 'Worlds most beautiful fairytales' book number 6 in a series of old childrens books. My 3rd edition book was made in 1981!

I used stickles & nuvodrops to add some shine and 
glitter to details, and the castle is embossed with
both sand, gold & bronze emb.powders.

I mixed up a dark green paint wich I dabbed thru
this rose stencil, then embossed with gold emb.powder.

 The tree/wood pattern was made with texture paste
and a stencil plus some scratching with a spatula.
Since the paste is greyish white, I painted over
the woods with my brown paint, and also added some 
black & brown T.H. distress crayons & stains.

The gorgeous Rapunzel hair was fussycut from
a designerpaper and popped up with 3D foam.

I used a tissuepaper on this page, sisal and some 
pretty leaf pattern rhinestone embellishments.. 
of which I have had for ages not wanting to use
just on a card.. now I can keep 'em myself! ;)

Tonic Studios Nuvo Glitter drops 'Golden sunset, 'Emerald City' and White Blizzard. Also Nuvo Jewel drops 'Orange marmalade' & Glow drops neon 'Banana Split' (lights windows in the castle). Ranger ink Perfect Pearls 'Mint'.

Techniques/Mediums: See photo descriptions above. Making Memories 'Harvest kit paints - Evergreen & Dusk'. Panduro Hobby white Gesso and Texture modeling paste. Panduro Hobby 'Kaffe' acrylic brown paint. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink crayons in black & brown hues. And Distress Oxide inkpad 'Vintage Photo' to distress paper edges. To heat emboss I used a Versamark inkpad, a heat gun tool & Hero Arts embossingpowders sand, gold and a bronze.
Prima Finnabair Art Basics Clear Gesso was used to seal everything down afterwards.

Nå er jeg luta lei av å få dårlige bilder av kortene mine... Nærbilde går greit, men den hvite bakgrunnen - en A3 blokk - blir av en eller annen grunn alltid for mørk, grå eller gul i fargen istedenfor hvit. Merkelig nok har jeg et mye bedre kamera på mobilen nå enn før - men jeg fikk bedre bilder med den 10 år gamle mobilen :P Tenkte jeg kansje trenger et sånt fototelt! Noen erfaringer med det?

I'm tired of getting bad photos of my cards with my new mobilephone! Closeups looks good, but the white background always turns out greyish or yellowish, and the card image is kind of muted... I got better photos with my 10 something year old phone! I've been thinking of buying one of those phototents, anyone that has experience with them? A

Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder. Double sided tape. 3D foam dots from Nille. High-Tack Double Sided Red Tape (Red Liner/Stix2/Miracle tape). Rangers ink glossy accents. Signo white pigment ink pen.

Techniques/Mediums: I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor the motif. I used Distress Oxide ink 'Worn lipstick' and Hero Arts 'Unicorn' inkpad to distress/ink up edges of image and papers. For the 'Gratulerer' diecut I used Top Boss white embossing powder and a versamark inkpad, and heating up several layers with my Panduro heatgun to get a really thick n glossy diecut. Then I stamped 'med dagen' with versamark and Hero Arts 'Pink Sparkle' embossing powder (also from Jan.2020 MMH kit).

I love her images, and have quite a large collection of both digis and rubberstamps, going back many years ~ remember Sweet Pea Stamps? This is one of my alltime favourite motifs! It got a pretty girl & a kitten that so reminds me of my Tamlin.. *shedding a tear* Still miss him alot even though its been ten years now.. He was such a sweetheart ♥

I added tape behind the cutout motif, the holes then had adhesive behind it, so I rubbed some gilding flakes into them for a nice metallic look!

I've had a migraine for several days that would not let up ... and been procraftinating after it finally did, beeing too exhausted, and ended up beeing so late with my DT card for this fortnights challenge #172. at Creative Fingers! Sorry about that ♥ I'm feeling much better now though :)
