Romantic floral weddingcards

 

Trengte påfyll av bryllupskort i esken min med ferdige kort ~ alltid lurt å ha noen på lur, siden det er bryllup, dåp og konfirmant kort jeg oftest får spørsmål om å lage, gjerne på veldig kort varsel :) 

Når jeg lager bryllupskort så går jeg oftest automatisk til de klassiske røde blomster, hvit og krem fargede papirer, gull eller sølv detaljer, og gjerne litt bling, bånd eller blonder. Det er en god og velkjent romantisk formel som alltid slår godt an hos mottakerne ♥

I needed some weddingcards to replenish my ready-made box of cards ~ as It is always good to have some ready to go. As well as baptism and confirmation cards, theese are the ones I'm asked the most often to create, and often on very short notice :)
 
When I create weddingcards I usually go for the classic red flowers, white & creme colored papers, gold or silvery details, and to add to the romantic feel ~ lace or elegant ribbons n gems. A combination that never fails to make the recipients happy ♥

Watercoloring is my favourite way of coloring images, and this is a superfun technique to do! I made a little tutorial of how I colored the Tim Holtz flowery background stamped image, with drawing directly onto the stamp with my distress markers, and spritzing water before stamping, to get the watercolored look.

Essentials/Adhesives: Scor-pal Sookwang tacky double sided tape. 3D foam/mosegummi. Rangers Glossy accents.

Techniques/Mediums:  I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress images and papers. The markers used on the flower bg stamp was Aged Mahogany, Forest Moss & Peeled Paint. To heat emboss I used a Versamark inkpad, a heat gun tool & Ranger ink clear embossingpowder. EK Success anti-static powder tool.

..Og selvfølgelig måtte jeg jo bare ha dem! :) Har dere også det sånn? Ser noen lage et kort og 'bare-må-ha' stemplene & produktene de bruker? Jeg er iallefall veeeldig skyldig i dette.. Spesielt når jeg ser på Jennifer McGuire! Oi Oi Oi så mange ganger jeg shoppet masse flotte ting og tang ~ og MYE som jeg enda ikke har brukt ;)

Theese superfunny fishies I saw in one of Sandy Allnocks youtube videos, and also on Julia Altermanns youtube channel here & here. They are fantastic artists, both so awesome at coloring ♥ .. and ofcourse then I just gotta have 'em! Do you also have that urge sometimes? Seeing someone create a card and just immediately must have the stamps n products they are using? I am definitely guilty in this.. Especially Jennifer McGuire is my always-enabler! WOW.. I can't count the times I've rushed to shoppe all fabulous crafty stuff ~ but only actually ended up using a fraction of ;)

Techniques/Mediums:  I used my 15+ yrs old aquarelle pencils to watercolor the images this time to change things up! Need to do that more often, forget I have them! Got inspired by Sandy Allnock :) Bruynzeel plus Inktense pencils. Also misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers and ink sprays to distress the diecuts and papers. White chalk ink from Hero Arts. To heat emboss the sentiment I used a Versamark inkpad, a heat gun tool & neon green Sparkle 'n' Sprinkle embossingpowder. Signo white uniball pen on some details.

My health haven't been so good for a long time, so not felt much up for blogging and commenting... but there was ofcourse time for making christmas cards on my good days, in my new craftroom.. This is the first time I tried the USA version of an A2 card, how weird is that! An A2 is actually HUGE here, bigger than both an A4 and the A3. I think the most similar to their A2 is our A6. So I had to find all the measurements and voila! A lot of the dies I got from American brands have been made specially for their A2's, so I might start making more of them :)
This is the best source I found to explain card sizes at Card-Making-Magic.

I used a heatgun tool and blew some Ranger Ink Alcohol solution &  Alcohol Inks onto Yupo paper: Sail boat blue, Flamingo, Patina, Amethyst. Purple foil added to 'sticky bits' of the alcohol ink background, not showing up so well in the photos though.

Vornii the dragon Bookmark

Har lagd en tag / bokmerke i Alice i Eventyrland tema ~ en av mine absolutt favoritt bøker, tydeligvis er det dragen Vornii sin også! ♥ Det var egentlig en Tolkien bok, Hobbiten, men jeg maskerte teksten og skrev inn Alice isteden :)  Prøvde ta bilder for å vise hvor skinnende gull detaljene er, men det må bare forestilles!

I've made a bookmark / tag with a Alice in Wonderland theme, one of my favourite stories, and apparently Vornii the dragon is also a fan! ♥ It was actually the Hobbit by Tolkien he was reading, but I masked the text when stamping, and wrote in Alice instead :) Tried to take photos to show how shiny the gold & yellow details are, but it just have to be imagined!

Even though digistamps has an advantage of beeing able to print any size you like, nothing beats the crisp images when stamping with rubber,  and the feel of it actually fysically there in you hand ~ oh and the smell of new rubber! You can also use rubbers for a whole bunch of techniques ~ like stamping onto mixe media and into hot embossing powders etc. So, Rubber is absolutely my favourite.. but I do own a gazillion of both kinds! ♥

Hero Arts inkpad 'Fiesta Yellow'. Viva Decor 'Inka Gold' paste medium. Using versamark onyx black, I stamped the dragon on my tag and masked him off - then added layers of more stamping and ink splatters on top. Distress ink sprays 'Vintage photo', and Dyan Reaveley Dylusions ink spray in 'White linen' also from Ranger Ink.
