Da jeg skulle diecutte rammen til motivet oppdaget jeg at alle de små bitene satt fast inni diesen. Vanligvis dytter jeg dem bare ut med min Quickstik ~ men denne gangen, siden alle sammen satt fast, fikk jeg ideen om å bruke tape og forgyllingsflak / bladgull :) Se bilder lengre ned.

AuroraWings ~ Mitzi Sato-Wiuff ~ is an artist who creates the most gorgeous images and the cutest little animals ♥ This little kittykat really loves sweet treats and has catched some yummy cupcakes! Such a perfect motif for an 80 year old lady who loves cats and baking :)

Inlaid Diecut Gilding ~ When I was diecutting the frame for this image I noticed all the little bits was still stuck inside the die. Usually I just poke them out with my Quickstik pick-up tool, but since they all were there it seemed such a waste... So I got the idea to stick them onto tape and use gilding flakes! It has probably been done before this way, but for me it was a eureka moment, that the negative diecut bits could actually be the art instead of useless scrapbits for the trash! The images below are kindof self explanatory but I added a tutorial text to make it easy if anyone wants to try it :)

 Det nydelige motivstemplet jeg har brukt på mitt vintage kort er fra Sweet Pea Stamps og Anna Marine, som du kan finne her hos Papirplaneten sammen med mange andre flotte SPS stempler. De lager ikke lengre stempler, så disse er sjeldne å få tak i nå! :)

'Congratulations on the day / Happy Birthday'

My vintage card today is DT inspiration for PapirPlaneten, an norwegian challengeblog and craft shoppe. The February theme is all about Vintage and/or Shabby Chic! The lovely motif stamp is from Sweet Pea Stamps and the artist Anna Marine ♥

While I painted this girl, she reminded me of Clary from the Mortal Instruments so I made her hair red ♥ It's a book series which I'm currently reading by Cassandra Clare. (If you're a fan of the series, think City of Glass, Idris and Alicante to get the same old-world feel I was thinking of). I almost attempted to draw some runes on her also (shadowhunter tattoos), but refrained in case I messed up and ruined an already colored image ;) I absolutely love this YA fantasy series, and have already bought the Infernal devices set to read next! Magnus Bane is my favourite character so I'm hoping for more origin stories on him ♥ If you've got Netflix you might have seen the 'new' tv-series or even the movie they made with a whole other cast several years ago, which is great, but they both differs alot from the Shadowhunter novels ~ which are SO much better :)

Pastel Goth Lucinda

Jeg elsker Betty Roberts sine motiver og 'Lucinda' er en nydelig digi mottatt for å delta i Simply Bettys Facebook Pastell Goth Challenge :)
Brukte flere timer på dette kortet, ikke helt enkelt med pasteller, men utfordrende og moro ble det!

I absolutely love Betty's images and this lovely 'Lucinda' I got as a freebie to participate on Simply Betty Stamps Facebook challenge. It was a joy to color in a goth theme ~ with pastel colors, a bit tricky to find in my stash though ;)

'the Worlds best Sister'

I was so lucky to win one of the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenges, (with this card) and received both some gorgeous digis as a prize and got invited to join as a guest DT :) The theme for february-march is to use a favourite image by EB. and it was really difficult to pick just one, as I have probably a hundred faves among my collection! This rubberstamp is just one of the cutest ever ♥

I have been so lucky to get this cute ladybug family from Bugaboo to ink up as my DT project ♥ The challenge is as always themed Anything Goes, and you are most welcome to join in! :)  

Now that the sun has made a return here in the northern parts of Norway, (still freezing though) it's time to pull out warm colors for my card. The funky sun is actually glossy accents, and it gives texture and an easy way to adhere the intricate diecut. Ladybug noses & antennas plus some hearts have also gotten glossy on them, while the text has been heat embossed. Finished it off with a spray of mica. LOVE adding shine to my cards!
