Wedding card ~ the First Dance ♥

Kortet mitt i dag har et nydelig bryllups motiv fra Sugarnellie kalt 'First dance' ♥ Du kan finne det her hos Papirplaneten, og mange andre flotte stempler, som de fine tekststemplene jeg har brukt fra Kort & Godt :)

Etter å ha sett youtuben fra Jennifer McGuire Easy Distress Ink Watercolor Backgrounds ble jeg inspirert til lage bakgrunnen på kortet mitt med resist embossing teknikk og perfect pearls shimmer. Jeg brukte Distress ink stempelputene 'Pumice Stone' og 'Hickory Smoke', og lot embossingen være på, fin effekt! Er mye mere shimmer på kortet i virkeligheten :)

My card today is a DT-card for PapirPlaneten, an norwegian challengeblog and craft shoppe. The theme for february is ofcourse LOVE ♥ The wedding couple is a Sugarnellie stamp named 'First Dance' from the Homegrown collection :)

The fab background on my card is a technique I learned from watching Jennifer McGuires Easy Distress Ink Watercolor Backgrounds on youtube. The embossing resists the ink and with the generous spritz of perfect pearls water, the card full of shimmer, and the twinks and diamond brad add to the bling as well! For my background I used DI 'Pumice Stone' og 'Hickory Smoke', a great color combo :)

Doodled some dots n drew the banner on the back with a micron felt tip pen.

I have used some mixed media gesso and relief paste, stenciling and micro glaze on my tag. And I doodled the grapes on the blank wine tag before painting them. Distress inks n Twinkeling H2O's as watercoloring mediums :)

Elsker denne lille fuglen fra Beccy's Place ~ Jeg har laget et kort tidligere med den her, men hadde veldig lyst å se hvordan den ville bli som vår egen kjære dompap ~ i sort, grått og rødt :) 
Om du synes kortene ligner veldig, joda de gjør det! Ofte når jeg lager et kort så fargelegger jeg to eller flere like motiver  samtidig. Og når jeg kutter/samler sammen 'ingrediensene' til et kort, så gjør jeg klart for et likedant kort samtidig, og samler alt inni kortbasen, ofte med en zip-lock pose til småtterier. Kjempekjekt å ha alt klart til et kort når det trenges! :)

On my card today I have a little birdy from Beccy's Place, SO cute ♥ not sure if we got this in Norway, but the shape and look very similar to our 'Dompap' that has black, grey and red colorings and is a finch-bird, so I have made him in theese colors!
If you wish to see a similar card with this bird (in his natural colors), see this post back in 2014. And yes, it IS some of the same papers n embellishes I used here, one thing I often do when I make cards is at the same time cutting and coloring everything ready for a other cards, and then I leave every cutout/image etc. inside the card base (ziplocks are handy if there's many small items), and set aside for another time. This is also a great timesaver for those 'oh no I need a card - now' moments *lol* :)
