Jeg er helt i ekstase idag ~ Tim Holtz' nye bok Compendium II kom i posten, med autograf og hilsning (sikkert en standard, men alikevel!) 
"Hilde ~ Stay curious.." *dåne* Fra Kongen selv ♥ Neste T.Holtz tingen jeg kommer til å gå til anskaffelse av er diesen hans med Tag'en, det holder ikke å klippe ut selv - får aldri hjørnene helt like..

Venter også på pakke fra Simon Says med alle 37 nye Distress Markers som vist frem på CHA messen i USA ~ brukte opp de $50 jeg vant i februar for A Whimsy Home kortet mitt ++ Gjett om jeg gleder meg til å ta de i bruk! Se en av Tim Holtz demoer hos ScrapTime! Fant samtidig en utrolig kunstner på YouTube ~ Brett Weldele, som bruker Distress ink til å male bilder med ~ fantastisk!

Men her er altså et par tags jeg lagde for en stund siden, den ene for å ha på bursdagsgaven til yngste broren min, Kevin. Ser kjempegod ut denne vinflaska, og veldig kult med Alex Rosé(n) vin ;)

I am in heaven today, as my copy of Tim holtz Compendium II book arrived in the mail ~ signed & delivered by the King himself ♥ With a sweet note "Hilde ~ stay curious.." standard quote I'm sure, but nevertheless ~ My preciousss! ;)

Can't wait to get my Distress Markers & start using them ~ used up my winnings at Simon Says Superstore (Whimsy Home card) on a pre-order, mid to late march they start shipping! Hope it won't get held up too long in customs ~ just check out the possibilities in ScrapTime's Tim holtz CHA Demo, and also the amazing comicbook artist Brett Weldele's awesomeness with Distress inks, markers & stains!!! Hmmm... I will be needing some more stains soon too!..

Embellishments/Tools: Faux Suede & Velvet green ribbon from Panduro hobby. Other ribbon & rope is recycled items from hangingtags in clothes. Kremmerhuset washi tape 'Daily Like'. Tim Holtz® Cuttlebug Embossing folder 'Clockworks', and Texture Fades 'Clock'. 
I have heatembossed the TGF stamps with transparent embossing powder. Glazed over areas with Glossy Accents, as well as used a distressing tool, sandpaper & T.Holtz distress inks 'Vintage Photo', 'Walnut Stain' to create a worn look. Marvy LePlume markers to color in some details.

Det kan ikke bli bedre ~ å sitte og fargelegge ett stempel av meg selv! :) Jeg er ganske lita på dette bildet, tre eller fire år kansje (se lengre ned i posten) og jeg fikk Tammy S. Thompson, A day for Daisies til å lage dette digistemplet for meg. Ba om en liten pus i tillegg til å fjerne granbuska, ellers hadde hun frie hender ~ og se det flotte resultatet! ♥

Å så deilig å sette seg ned og lage kort! Etter at både mandag og tirsdag har vært 'tur til tannlegen dager'... Både den plagsomme kvasse kanten på en jeksel er slipt ned og den dyre tanna med krøllete røtter ~ tannlegen sa 'S-formet rot' så jeg er glad den ikke måtte trekkes, bare drepes og rotfylles og betales i dyre dommer på... *au au* Men gliset er strålende bra nå :)
 Den siste samlingen digitale freebies på utfordringen hos CDAC hadde et kjempenydelig ADFD stempel som jeg simpelthen måtte fargelegge ~ som jeg aldri blir trøtt av å si: Jeg elsker A day for Daisies digis'ene! ♥

In the latest CDAC challenge there was this gorgeous digi from Tammy at ADFD! ♥ It was pure joy to get my inks out & create a card, after two days with dentist appointments... not very keen on rootfillings & those metal thingies that have jagged edges & is screwed down around the tooth.. u know what I'm talking about? Grinded into your gums.. *jikes* Needless to say I'm glad I'm not going back for at least a year *fingers crossed* :)

The dresses (printed on DP) were paperpieced on top of the torso and feet with 3D cushions, and got a shimmer of H2O's as well ~ not showing up very  good in a scan though. Misc. Cats Eye ink chalk pads used to distress edges & color the green BG paper diecuts.  
 Washi tape from Kremmerhuset. Panduro Hobby - Moments adhesive half pearls (blue & pink). Ribbons unknown. Bazzill Bling Blossom/Buds. Tror aldri jeg har strevd mere med et kort før! CLP (se link under) sin skisse utfordring gjorde nesten at jeg halveis i kortlagingen holdt på å kaste hele greia... og det var en helt enkel og grei skisse tilogmed!! 
Klarer aldri å se for meg hva jeg skal bruke før underveis, så skisser er altså ikke helt min ting nei.. ;)

Nå har jeg begyndt å gå over digistempel-trykkene som jeg printer ut (inkjet Canon) med luftpistolen min, først en gang - kjølne, så en gang til - kjølne, og kansje gjenta enda en gang... Dette funker kjempebra!!! Trykkene blir så og si vannfast, selv om det er 'vanlig' inkjet printer, og jeg har ødelagt alltfor mange trykk når jeg har malt dem tidligere (altså med distress inks på akvarellark).

My Top Tip is 4 digi-stampers who use distress inks: 
Go over your digital print (aquarelle/watercolor paper) with a heatgun! First once and let it cool off, repeat two, three or more times. It really works wonders ~ it's almost as good as using permanent stamp inkpads! :)

A great tip is to diecut the cardstock u use for the card itself, and use 

the diecut two ways ~ one on the front of the card, and when u layer and

decorate the card u get a neat frame on the inside of the card as well :)

This charming image comes from the Giordano's Puppies and Kittens CD, wich I got here from Joanna Sheen. The awesome diecut hinges are a mystery to me ~ have no clue where they come from (gotten on a forum ages ago) and if someone knows, please do let me know, 'cause I'd like to find & buy the die for theese ~ if they still exist :)

Har gått gjennom og sortert stempler den siste uka, og visste jo på forhånd at jeg har veldig mange som aldri har vært brukt ~ men nå har jeg enda et nyttårsforsett: Lage kort med ubrukte stempler fremover!!! Som dette nydelige stemplet fra Inky Impressions ~ og mange flere... Har malt opp en god del ny-gamle stempler som kommer på kort etterhvert :)

I've been sorting through a ton of my rubbers lately and found out (what I already knew), that I have way too many stamps that's not even been inked up yet, like this cutie from Inky Impressions! 
 So I now have a new new-years resolution to add: Create cards with unused stamps from now on.. Already inked up some motifs that will get cards to go with soon :)

The xmas tag is one I made for a girl friend this christmas. the Spellbinders dies are awesome to use for christmas present tags! I enter this in the Addicted to stamps #20. Something new, new years etc.

  The gorjuss girl card is my second entry for the norwegian challengeblog That's So Cute's Christmas Extra 2011 challenge.

Stamps: SugarNellie rubberstamp - Gorjuss Girls 'untamed'. Magnolia rubberstamp 'Bryllups swirl'. The Greeting Farm (freebie from Marina) 'toby newyear confetti 2010' digital stamp. 

Papers: Bazzill & plain paper cardstocks. Misc handmade papers from a local bookstore.

Mine nyttårsforsett: Å starte opp igjen på lavkarboen ~ får håpe det funker iår!... Å endelig få uteboden lagd inredet til scrapperom ~ og å innskrenke pengeforbruket når det gjelder scrappeting i hytt og pine... *lol*
 Er bare såååå mye nytt stæsj og stempler jeg bare må ha hele tiden! Fikk iallefall brukt opp masser med bazzill restepapir til dette kortet ~ alltids kjekt det, istedenfor å kaste i boss bøtta :)

I have some newyears resolutions for 2012: 
To start up with a new lowcarb diet (wich I failed miserably at last year)... 
To finally make my new scraproom in the outside storage room ~ I think it's about 3x3 meters so there should be enough room! 
And also to cut back on the money use on scrapping stash & stamps... Wich I have TONS of already,  and can never ever get to use up *lol*
 I really enjoyed making the bottom panel of this card ~ a great effect with little effort! It's made out of a whole bunch of scrap cardstock strips I had leftover after scoring tons of base cards in 15x15 cm. It's great to see the scraps put to good use instead of tossing them in the bin :)

Måtte leite frem embossingpulver, luftpistol, skalpell og skjærematte for dette kortet ~ leenge siden sist jeg brukte disse verktøyene! Spellbinders'ene har visst tatt helt over ;) Det ble så utrolig lekkert med varm-embossing så jeg sløyfet å pynte kortet noe mere!

A 'Clean & Simple' card this time ~ didn't think it was neccessary with more bling than that gorgeous heat embossing! A tool I have neglected too much, as well as my scalpel for those bigger frames ~ been relying on the spellbinders too much lately I think ;)
