I am very fond of using gilding flakes, but they sure are messy! They fly all over the place and get stuck to EVERYTHING.. A good tip for ya: Do not, and I repeat: DO NOT be sick with the flu or sore throat when using your gilding flakes.. ONE little sneeze and half the box of flakes went up in the air, and landed all over me and the table! LOL ;)
I've made an autumn themed card with the gorgeous background die I got in the mail recently, had to try it out as soon as possible, and it looks awesome when cut out ♥ And all the lovely flower stamps that I used, are called Chinese Lanterns or Japanese Lanterns, as well as Hozuki and the latin plant name Physalis alkekengi ~ see Wikipedia ~ and they were part of the September My Monthly Hero Arts kit.
Aaand if you're wondering where the blogcandy is at, that I promised for a while now, it is soon here! It's just taking a bit longer than I thought to go through all my crafty stash (too much stuff!), but I reccon that a week into november ++ I will have it all unpacked and somewhat sorted. And more things to put into the blogcandy is always a good thing right? :)

EDIT:
I have added some Hero Arts lacquer clear glue on some details after
blogging this card ~ but wanted to show how just a little extra shine
makes such a big difference in a card! ♥

With snow up on the mountaintops and the winter and colder weather coming very soon.. (too soon) I have made a card, dreaming of warmer days ♥ However, I felt a bit lost after painting this gorgeous mermaid motif.. had no idea what to do with it, and it didn't help that my new scraproom still has a major need of organizing. Soooo much stuff still in boxes! I'm quickly running out of space on the walls for new shelves.. I thought to just put her on a white background with a few ink splashes behind her, and call it done.
But ofcourse that would not do, so a few hours later (yes I have that much papers) I found the perfect really old Prima designerpaper in my stash ~ beach and sand background! I even had two of the same paper, so I didn't feel bad for using the whole paper, wich I tend do to (=hundreds n hundreds of papers) because I cannot bare simply 'using' them up... does this sound familiar to you? Scrappers-hoarding-anonymous next! LoL ;)
My card is a DT-creation for challenge #153. at Creative Fingers sponsored by the LeAnn's World 101. and her wonderful digistamps ♥
As always we're having an 'Anything goes theme', and you are more than welcome to join with your creations :)
.
Remember to check in here in a two-three weeks time, then I'll have filled up my 'stuff-to-give-away-box' and there will be an awesome blogcandy! I'm finding I have quite numerous duplicates, and I have found alot of neat stuff I have gotten as gifts that are really not my style, so hoping that someone else will find it just perfect for their taste. Might be some well-loved used things as well, perhaps in a seperate lot for the ones that don't mind that it isn't brand new.. ♥
