Congrats with an itty bitty bow!

Når man er så heldig å ha så mange flotte dies og embossingfoldere som jeg har, så kan det å lage et kort bli veldig lett og veldig moro! Den bittelille sløyfa ble det 'lille ekstra' som kortet trengte siden det ikke var noe motiv på.

It's very fun and easy to create cards when you are lucky enough to have a ton of pretty dies and embossing folders. And with the lack of motif, the itty bitty bow was the something extra I really needed to make my card look fabulous :) 

My somewhat vintage looking and shabby chic card today is my DT inspiration for this fortnights challenge #137. over at Creative Fingers. We have an amazing sponsor also, Lemon Shortbread. I haven't used a motif on my card, as my printer is out of ink, but I absolutely adore their images! ♥ As always it is an 'Anything goes theme', and you are more than welcome to join with your creations ♥

Har planer om å bruke dette arket som en detalj på en større art journaling side, men har ikke helt klart for meg hvordan den skal bli enda ~ kansje en galakse og dødstjernen, og en silhouette av Darth Vader? Hmmm...

Do you also hear the sound of Star Wars in the background while looking at this page? :) I found myself contstantly humming on the music from the movies while painting this absolutely gorgeous Leia tribute image ♥ 

I actually have big plans for using this piece on a bigger art journaling page, perhaps with a galaxy background and the Death star, and maybe a silhouette of Darth Vader? Hmm.. I'll have to do some more thinking on that :)

Stamps/Images: Oddball Art Stamps 'Big Eye Girl Princess Leia Tribute LizzyLoveIMG301' digistamp. Star Wars 'Princess Leia's Theme' musicsheet, found on Star Wars Wookiepedia, and the piece is composed by John Williams.
Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs, and I have printed the music sheet on the same watercolor paper.
Embellishments/Tools: Gluedots. Basic Grey (black tie coll.?) ribbon. Panduro Hobby ~ Tilda Mother of pearl 'Mist 480709' buttons (pärlemorsknappar).
 
Techniques: My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool and Foams. I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. I also used the 'Black Soot' DI spray, and Rangers ink Perfect Pearls Mica powder 'Perfect Pearl' (mixed with waterolors, plus in a spray mixed w. water directly on the whole page). 
I Love my mica powders, when added with water they do not rub off as easily as regular glitters, and doesn't stick everywhere :)

Fairy Cookies & Tea

 

Det har ikke vært så mange bloggposter fra meg i sommer.. Slitt litt vel mye med helsa, så det har sjeldent vært tid for kreativitet på scrapperommet. Har isteden fått ryddet litt opp på pc'n, og det er sååå mye rot i mappene mine der! 
Fant faktisk flere kort som bare var tatt bilder av og ikke lagt ut på bloggen, og jeg legger for det meste ut alt jeg lager :)

Mine to sommerlige kort har begge fått hovedmotiv fra The Paper Shelter. Vanligvis foretrekker jeg å fargelegge dem selv, men TPS har allerede fargelagt disse perfekt ♥ Digistemplene kommer både i lineart og ferdig fargelagte motiver. Tilogmed digitale ark eller ferdig komponert følger med på de aller fleste, så man kan gjøre det så enkelt man bare vil! Jeg har kun printet ut motivene, og fargekoordinert med ark fra Panduro. Liker at det går en 'rød tråd' gjennom alt jeg lager, og håper de som mottar kortene setter pris på det :)

There has not been many blogposts from me over the summer as my health has not been very good of late. Not much craftiness going on in my scraproom.. But instead I've been able to do some much needed re-organizing and cleaning up in my computer folders. Wich is where I found several un-edited cards I had not blogged yet. And I blog pretty much all the things I create, so here are two summery cards with motifs from The Paper Shelter.

They have lots and lots of sweet digistamp sets ~ with both linearts and colored images. and although I prefer to do the coloring myself, TPS motifs are already so perfectly colored ♥
I love to make the kind of cards where there is a theme all the way, inside and out, even the back. And I like to think the recipients do appriciate the extra effort :)

The strawberry journaling paper is a digipaper from Meta Wulandari Design 'Tutti Frutti Collection'. And the heart locket, blue flowers and digi ribbon eyelet is from misc. Createwings Design digi kits.

Embellishments/Tools: Nellie Snellen dies 'Round Scalloped MFD079' and 'Straight Dotted Round MFD085'. Crafts Too Presscut 'Circle Nest Dies PCD46'. EK Success® Whale Of A Punch 'Large Circle 1.75'. Martha Stewart 'Flourish Edge Punch'. RePrint 'pink R0716 pearls'. Ribbons unknown (recycled from a blouse).
Techniques: I always use my Scor-Pal to score n fold my cards. I used my Ranger Ink Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool to ink around the edges of everything with Distress ink 'Gathered twigs'. Rangers Glossy accents on some details and as glue. Plus adhesives and funfoam/3D foam.
