Fuzzy Monsters!

Drawn with Character are both sponsoring us this week! For my DT project for Creative Fingers this week, I've inked up some cute and cuddly Fuzzy Monsters! ♥ Challenge #52. is as always themed Anything Goes, and we have an optional twist of using 'Buttons' on your project. You are most welcome to join in! :)

Stamps/Images: Drawn with Character digistamp 'Valentine's Fuzzy Monsters1'. Lazar StudioWERX Inc rubberstamp 'Funky Holidays' (swirl). PapirDesign CS 'Barnedåp 107955'. North Star Stamps CS 'Bursdagstekster A5'. KaiserCraft CS 'Retro'. Kort & Godt 'M-225'.
Papers: Bazzill cardstock. Studio Light PP 'SL 03'. Plain cream cardstock. Notepaper.
Embellishments/Tools: Spellbinders™ Nestabilities 'Labels 22'. Martha Stewart 'Flourish Edge Punch'. Crafters Companion 'Decorative Heart' 6x6 Emb Folder. Buttons unknown. Ranger Stickles and Glossy accents. Gluedots and 3D.

Techniques: I always use my Scor-Pal to score n fold my cards. I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed). My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use! ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams. I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads to watercolor and distress image and papers.

I created the background paper on a cream colored card, using Distress inks 'Fired brick', 'Spiced Marmelade' and 'Mustard Seed'. Starting with the yellow on the entire card, orange on the raised embossed heart as well as the edges around the heart. Finally dark red all around the edges. Misted it up with a spray of water and dabbed quickly off with a papertowel, to get a spattered effect. The little monster cuties were painted with a Koi waterbrush & the same colors plus green 'Peeled Paint' :) The text banner is done using the remains of ink on my craftsheet, mist of water and dabbing, plus 'Vintage photo' and 'Shabby Shutters'.
