Bumblebee ~ Tag & ATC's 🐝

 

Da jeg var på scrappetreff arrangert av Bikuben i en privat fb event ~ Vårscrapp 25-27 mars, ble det også arrangert bytter av ATC kort og TAG for de som ville det. Det var kjempeflotte rabatter og jeg måtte jo bare kjøpe 'litt' snop til meg selv... har nettopp hatt bursdag og fikk igjen på skatten, så da ble det ikke bare litt snop.. men også BIG SHOT SWITCH Plus i Tim Holtz sort! Jeg fikk en nydelig vintage tag i posten for noen dager siden og min byttevenn har mottatt denne tag'en fra meg 💗

Har ikke mottatt ATC byttet enda (det er mye som skal sendes til en person og tilbake igjen.. slik at man ender opp med 9 ulike ATC'er inkludert en av mine egne), men jeg tar sjangsen på at ingen av mottakerene titter innom, så jeg kan vise frem mine her siden det er samme tema 😊 🐝

when everythings super shiny and reflective with foil & heat embossing!

 

When I was at an online scrap event a fortnight ago, I signed up for swapping ATC's and a TAG after the event with some of the attendees. The event was held in a private fb event, arranged by the norwegian craft store Bikuben. There were such great discounts that weekend too (and I had money back on taxes) so I got myself not only a bunch of crafty goodies, but an awesome birthday present ~ the BIG SHOT SWITCH Plus!!! (photo further up) And ofcourse it is in Tim Holtz black! 😁 I am just SOoo happy with it, it is so good for my bad hands 👍 Check out Tim's Demo on the Switch here.

I got a gorgeous vintage tag in the mail a few days ago, and I sent my swap buddy this tag from me 💗 Haven't received the ATC swap yet, lots more logistics with many people and getting 9 ATC's in return, one of my own included. Could be awhile yet, so I am showing mine off since they're same theme as the tag... and hopefully none of the people in my group is looking in on my blog, don't want to spoil the surprise! 😊 🐝

Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs, and also used as tag and atc card bases.

Dies: Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 'Geo Insects Set of 4' & 'Tag collection 658784' by Tim Holtz. Hero Arts MMH0121 kit coordinating bee dies and 'Honeycomb window' (hexagons) die.
Essentials/Adhesives: High-Tack adhesive tape Sookwang Scor-Pal tape &/or Red tape. Rangers Glossy accents. Creotime CC Hobby holographic gold foil added on top of hexagonal diecuts and tags edge on Simon Says Stamp tape glue runner adhesive dots.

Techniques/Mediums: Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads 'fossilized amber', 'dried marigold' & 'vintage photo' to watercolor the bees. For the tag background I ink blended with DI 'Mowed lawn', 'Peeled paint' & 'fossilized amber' plus Hero Arts ink cubes 'Moss' and 'Limegreen'. For the ATC backgrounds using Distress spray stains 'Mowed lawn, 'Savage patina', 'Mustard seed' and 'Wild honey'. 'Vintage photo' to distress image and papers. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors 'Ginger peach' to color inside the geo bee die. To heat emboss the tags top edge (after realising that the dot glue I used for my foil was TOO strong and still sticky) I used a Versamark inkpad, a heat gun tool & Ranger clear embossingpowder. The 'Flower garden' stamp on the ATC's was stamped on with Hero Arts multicolored reactive palette inkpad from the MMH0321 kit, then clear heat embossed, but first I sprayed the clingstamp and picked up the excess ink with a white cardstock that became a lovely background for the back of the tag!

Soooo... I too got bit by the resin bug! 🤩 It looks so fun in the gazillion videos on youtube, so for about a year now I have been wanting to try it. Some of the top enablers I would like to point out is: Pouring your heart out, Resin As You Wish, Sveta Fresh, and Steve McDonald Arts and Crafts.
I have bought supplies for it every now and then, but never really dared to step into it.. Thought I would start with the 'easy & quick' one, wich is UV-resin. Used a nail UV lamp and a UV resin to create theese little pearly half beads as well as the pendant you see below, wich my mum will get. Not going with the card, just wanted to show it off here since I made it at same time.
My first resin projects! There will be many more, got lots new moulds and 3 litres of crystal resin, then I wont be limited to clear moulds. I already had a whole lot of glitters and alcohol inks in my stash, so I found it easy to make something pretty, once I just dared to begin! 💙 And I do have many beautiful Prima moulds, some very intricate ones that I haven't had much luck with my airdry clay in.. getting stuck in thin nooks n crannys! I cant wait to create durable embellishments to use in my creations all the time 👍

Techniques/Mediums: I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink pads 'Salvage Patina', 'Kitch Flamingo' and 'Faded Jeans'. Also Oxide ink spray 'Salvaged Patina'. Prima Marketing inc. Color Bloom 'Cotton Candy' ink spray. And for even more shine, I used Viva Decor Inka Gold wax 'Platinum' on the white frame, as well as a silvery Mica spray.

For the Resin art: HobbyHimmelen moulds. Ranger Tim Holtz alcohol ink 'Patina' and 'Sail boat blue'. Signature Crafts UV resin Light cure. Stamperia Glamour sparkles 'Sparkling white'. Jacquard Pinata 'white/blanco' Alcohol ink. I added the resin with the ink and sparkly bits in the moulds and used a SunONE UV Led lamp 24/48 W. to cure the pieces.
