⚡⚡⚡ Er noe sent ute med kortet.. er endelig tilbake på nett etter en ukes 'internett abstinenser'... ja det er sånn man finner ut hvor avhengig man egentlig har blitt! ... I etterkant av stormen Gyda fikk vi skikkelig torden uvær med lynnedslag som sprengte stikk kontakter av veggen og ødela modem, antennmottakeren OG tv parabolantenne og kansje dekoderne! 💀
Her er en av dem, noe svidd ja! Internettledningen var smeltet innvendig! Vært krefter i sving ja ~ det var et voldsomt lys og brak da strømmen gikk, og ozon lukta var så stram at jeg fikk vondt i hodet 🤢 Vi sprang rundt som vettskremte høns i mørket med mobil lommelyktene på, og lette etter brann i vegger og loft. Broren min som er elektriker og nettopp hadde kommet på jobben, dro derfra og kom helt hit for å gå gjennom huset. Vi var kjempeheldige, det kunne gått så mye verre om det hadde tatt fyr...
Forhåpentligvis har ikke playstation og nintendo switch'en tatt skade, de virker fint for nå .. men det sies at det kan ta flere uker før plutselig en skade kommer, men krysser fingre og tær at det ikke skjer. Vi hadde internettleverandøren vår her som ordna ny internett på husveggen, og vi kjøpte nytt modem til et annet rom, men det var sørgelig kvalitet på det.. Heldigvis at man har en elektriker bror 💗 Han var her i kveld og trakk nye ledninger og ordnet internett til oss, og faktisk virker det nå bedre enn det var før! Så selv om vi er uten tv en stund, så kan man jo strømme. Har sedd på Battlestar Galactica tvserien (bluray boks) denne tiden, og når man først har begyndt blir man hekta! Sett den før for mange år siden, men det er noe annet å 'bingewatche' serien enn en episode i uka på tv med masse reklame 😉 👍

⚡⚡⚡ I am almost a day late with my card.. Finally back online after a week without internet due to a lightningstrike that fried out internet and tv. The powers in that lightning was so loud and before the lights went out, there was a blinding light, and in upstairs hallway the ozon smell was so heavy I got a headache 🤢
Tv parabolic antenna and internet antenna and modem was fried, scorchmarks above some wall lamps, wires and electrical sockets fused and one even blew off the wall! See image above.. And we were so afraid there was fire inside the wall or in the attic we ran around in the pitch dark with or phone lights sniffing and touching walls for heat... My brother who is an electrician had just arrived at work (early morning this) and got leave for the day to drive here and check over the house. We were so lucky the lightning didn't cause any fires.
I am hopeful that it didn't damage my gaming consoles, but they say it can go weeks without notice then just poof! 💀 We had our internetprovider come and got a new internet antenna on the housewall, and using an old inlet for a new modem ~ but the quality was so poor that I had virtually no internet downstairs in my apartment. My brother was here again tonight, or rather last night (It's almost morning while I blog this) fixing our internet and pulling new wires around and thru the roof to a better location for our modem. Awesome quality internet! So happy, it's even better than before! lol 😀 I have during this downtime started bingewatching the whole Battlestar Galactica box set on bluray, totally hooked! Seen it ages ago, but its a whole other thing to watch a series continuosly instead of once a week on tv, with no irritating commercials! 👍
● As You Like It ~ Favourite Colouring Medium (& why)! [Feb.2nd.]
Distress inks has been my favourite to watercolor with ever since Tim first began releasing distress inks in other colors than brown & black lol ♥ I love the vintage looking colors (although he's succumbed to the masses need for brights & girly colors lol) and I love distressing so it's perfect for me. So easy, just dab the inkpad on plastic/glass surface and add water ~ u dont even have to mix colors, but I love doing so, especially mixing together with my other fave watercolor medium, Twinkling H2o's, for that extra bling & shine!

Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs. Bazzill cardstock. Plain white cardstock. Scrapbooking made simple (SMS) 'Simply defined A4 black heavy weight cardstock' (amazing quality! cuts like butter! no cracking! received as a purchase gift). Cat stationary/shoppinglist unknown.
Tools: I always use my Scor-Pal to score & fold my cards. My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams. EK Success® Whale Of A Punch 'Large Circle 1.75'.
Stencils/Embossingfolders: ...
Dies: Hero Arts 'D1483 Window on love Confetti' fancy cover die.
Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder. High-Tack adhesive tape Sookwang Scor-Pal tape &/or Red tape. 3D foam/mosegummi.
Techniques/Mediums: I used Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors: Ruby red, Garnet, Love struck & Poppy red. And also Ranger Ink Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads: Candied Apple, Festive Berries & Black soot, mixed together to watercolor and distress image and papers. The remaining inks on my palette after coloring the shoes was not wasted but used to swipe a piece of watercolor cardstock thru - to make the background behind the cover die. To heat emboss the bows I used a Versamark brush pen, a heat gun tool & embossingpowders from Hero Arts (red) and Ranger (clear) thats making my own blend of EP.
