Nostalgia & Flower Fairies

 

Cicely Mary Barker er en av mine favoritt kunstnere helt siden jeg var liten jente. Jeg ser ofte gjennom bøkene jeg har av hennes nydelige Flower fairies og henter inspirasjon til fargelegging ♥ Du kan finne mange av hennes Flower Fairies illustrasjoner og dikt på den offisielle nettsiden, tilogmed noen sider til å printe ut og fargelegge selv!

Jeg har aldri vært spesielt glad i blomstrete klær eller interiør ~ og såkalte 'grønne fingre' har jeg vel aldri hatt... Snarere tvert imot! Kun plast eller tørkede blomster overlever hos meg ;) Men jeg er glad i å fargelegge blomster så dette er et perfekt motiv med en av favoritt blomstene, rød-kløver.  Husker da jeg var liten brukte jeg å komme hjem til mamma med kløver, blåklokker, geitrams og løvetann .. og kansje litt ugress! Flere av de eldre naboene pleide også få meg på besøk med litt pjuskete blomster i fine små buketter ♥

One of my favourite artist illustrators ever since I was a little girl is Cicely Mary Barker, the woman who created the gorgeous Flower Fairies ♥ I have several of her books wich I love to look through for inspiration, especially for the way the fairies and flowers are colored. You can find much of her work here on the official Flower Fairies website and the accompanying poems. There is also a section with several free coloringpages!

I have never been a fan of floral clothes or floral interior designs, nor do I have any flowers thats alive.. (dried or plastic only survives in my home lol) however I LOVE coloring flowers and got so many lovely flower themed stamps ♥ The Red Clover is one of my favourites in nature, when I was I child I used to pick dandelions, blue-bells, clovers and rose-bay willow herb to give to my mum ~ and all the elderly people in the neighbourhood got some flowers & weed bouquets from me as well I remember! ;)

Konfirmasjonskortet mitt her er et jeg lagde for en tid tilbake, men aldri vist frem på bloggen. Vært avglemt i en mappe på laptopen, og det er jo synd for jeg var jo kjempefornøyd med det og det fortjener å bli vist frem ♥ Har sladdet noe av teksten inni for jeg tok bildet først etter at jeg hadde skrevet en hilsen til konfirmanten :)

Siden formen min ikke er noe særlig, ryggen min er kjempevond og føler ikke for å sitte på scrapperommet... så blir dette kortet mitt DT bidrag hos Creative Fingers #207. denne gang! I made this confirmation easel card a good while back, but it's never been shown online as it was forgotten in a folder on my laptop. Thought I'd show it off now as I'm in no shape to be crafting at the moment... my back is such a pain in the ass.. (no pun intended lol) and also its one I was very happy with how it it turned out, and it would be a shame to never show it :)

Jeg fikk nylig en masse nye dies fra Lawn Fawn som jeg hadde lyst å leke med ~ og tenkte de ville passe godt sammen med Bugaboos morsomme motiv ♥ Var så gøy at jeg endte opp med å lage tre kort ~ men fikk så mye smerter i hendene mine (psoriasis sprekker på knokene og vondt i leddene) at jeg måtte ta en lengre pause, så jeg er en dag på etterskudd med å legge dem ut. Veldig sliten men moro å få litt kreativ mojo tilbake!

Nå skal jeg slappe av med litt Animal Crossing som er den favorittspillet mitt :) Noen andre som har blitt hekta på det siste året?

Theese cards are my DT creation for this fortnights challenge #206. at Creative Fingers has a supercute mouse motif from our sponsor Bugaboo Stamps, and I apologize for beeing a day late in uploading as I had a bit too much fun and made three cards at the same time! My hands didn't like it though.. and my back actually got so bad that I needed to wait until today to finish them and take their photos :P 

 

My hands have joint aches and sore cracks from psoriasis on the knuckles so crafting can be painful at times ~ but fun to get some mojo back all the same! I got some new dies recently I been wanting to play with from Lawn Fawn and boy do they work well together with Bugaboos cute designs :)

Party Kittens!

For noen uker siden fikk jeg godstolen min tilbake fra reparasjon ~ endelig! Har savnet den i mange måneder, en god stund før jul knakk den sammen og trengte sveising under setet. Arvet stolen fra bestemor da hun døde i '94, og den må være av ekstremt bra kvalitet siden den har vart så lenge uten å gå istykker!  Moren min sier at bestemor fikk den helt tidlig på åttitallet!
Er kjempeglad å få den tilbake, men har ikke hatt så mye mulighet til å glede meg over det ettersom helsa uansett har vært laber..  og så har jeg mista litt scrappelysten... Håper 'mojoen' kommer snart tilbake! Stolen er iallefall på plassen sin, så får vi se om det blir noe scrapping i påska! :)

I got my good old craft chair back from repair some weeks ago, but haven't been in best health of late so I still haven't gotten into the 'groove' yet. It tends to be like that when you're not been able to craft for a long period ~ need to get my mojo back! At least my grandmas chair is in my room waiting for me now :) 

It's actually amazing it only broke down for the first time around christmas last year ~ after beeing used several times each week for more than 30 years! My mum says that grandma got the chair in the early 80's! Thats quality for ya! Don't make them like that anymore thats for sure ♥ I had to take a photo to show you the wonder chair lol :)

On this card I've used one of my oldest wood-mounted rubberstamps ~ I have so many of them that really needs to be used more! Absolutely LOVE theese fun  party cats :)
