The Distress inks I used for watercoloring the 😎 flower.

Stamps/Images: Lemon Shortbread 'Dancing Sunflower' digistamp. Bee and music note stamps from the Hero Arts MMH July 2017 Garden & MMH February Sentiments 2019 kits. North Star Stamps 'Småtekster sommer'.
Papers: I prefer Canson Montvale aquarelle paper (200 g/m coldpressed) for my motifs. Bazzill cardstocks. Plain white cardstock. Designerpaper from Basic Grey - Hang 10 collection 'dweeb'.

Tools: I always use my Scor-Pal to score n fold my cards. My distress tools from Ranger Ink is always in use ~ Tim Holtz® Mini Ink Round Blending Tool & the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool and Foams.
Stencils/Embossingfolders: Sizzix - Tim Holtz Alterations 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder 'Lumber'.
Dies: Nellie Snellen Magic Stamping Card Die Set - Heart die. Scrapbooking made simple - Simply Defined April 2018 (SMS youtube #246.) Boys To Men Collection 'A Boy's Imagination' die frame. QuicKutz (new branded as LifeStyle crafts/WRMK) QK Duo Die 2x2 'Beehive DD0292'. Banner die from the Hero Arts MMH March 2018 kit.
Essentials/Adhesives: Bonefolder. 3D foam/mosegummi. High-Tack Double Sided Red (miracle) Tape and Scor-pal Sookwang wide 5" tape.

Techniques/Mediums:  I used misc. Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. See photo above. Added some shine to the sunglasses with a Wink of Stella clear silver brush, and highlights with a signo white pigment pen.

Endelig er sommer'n her! 😎 Og når varmen kommer er det godt med saftig søt vannmelon.. og litt sukker drysset på! Kortet mitt er DT bidrag hos Creative Fingers #166., og den søte jenta er et digi motiv fra vår sponsor Bugaboo Stamps. Som alltid har vi et 'Lag-hva-du-vil' tema, og velkommen skal du være :) 

Jeg fant noen dies som passet perfekt til temaet, kuttet dem ut på akvarellpapir, og malte dem og motivet med distress inks & twinks (se info nederst). 

Mye mindre 'dilldall' å male diecuts'ene enn å begynne med å kutte ut flere forskjellige farger og så klippe + paperpiece dem!

It's been taking quite a while for summer to come all the way up north in Norway.. but at last, summer is here! 😎 And when the heat comes, it's so refreshing with some watermelon slices.. with some sprinkled sugar on top ♥ 

My DT card for this fortnights challenge #166. at Creative Fingers has a sweet main motif from our sponsor Bugaboo stamps, and as always it is an 'Anything goes theme'. You are more than welcome to join with your creations :)

I found some dies that fit the theme perfectly, cut them out on watercolor paper, and painted those and the main motif with my distress inks and twinks (see detailed photo above, and info at the bottom of the post). So much less hazzle to just paint the diescuts instead of cutting out a dozen colors and then paperpece them together!

Techniques/Mediums:  I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers to watercolor and distress image and papers. The card base was sprayed with Distress ink 'Wild honey' spray stain. I used 'Vintage photo' inkpad to distress on all papers edges. For small details I used Signo white pigment ink ball pen and Staedtler black pigment liner.

Techniques/Mediums: I used misc. Luminarte Twinkling H2o's Shimmering Watercolors, and the Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads & markers (you can see in the photo above) to watercolor and distress image and papers. Then I cut out my unicorn using my favourite fussycutting scissors, and a scalpel knife. I know you can cut on the tonic craft glass mat - but I want to keep it pretty for as long as possible, so I just use my old self-healing mat for such cutting! :)

Confirmation Easel Card & BlogCandy Winner!

 

En tid tilbake ble jeg ble spurt om å lage et konfirmasjonskort for en gutt som er glad i biler, ATV, moped ~ ting som sier vrooom! altså :) Jeg spør alltid etter hobbyer og favoritt farger, spesielt når jeg ikke kjenner mottageren. Også om det skal være plass for et gavekort eller penger, og det er det her. Jeg fikk flere foto av gutten fra han var liten, og brukte et baby foto som hoved motiv, etter å ha redigert ut en litt rotete bakgrunn - ikke at de hadde det rotete altså! Nei, det passet bare ikke med stoler og kjøkken innredning liksom.. Fant papirer i blå og bruntoner og stempler som passet. Å bruke deres egne bilder og interesser gir kortet en spesiell betydning, og slår alltid godt an ♥

I was asked to make this card for a young boys confirmation day a while back. And whenever I get requests like this, I want to know about special hobbies/interests and favourite colors, and if the card shall have a money/giftcard pocket or not. For example, this boys interests are music and things that go vrooom! Colors were browns and blues. I got several photos of him as a child, wich I printed out on watercolor paper. A baby photo was edited to remove the 'noisy' background, and used as the main image. Using their own images gives it a special meaning for the giver and the recipient ♥
