Magic Is All Around Us!

This is my first ever art-journaling page & I must say I am very happy with it! I love fairies, pixies and elves ~ and as they've been such a big part of my life ever since I was a child (and actually believed they were real) it seemed a perfect page to start with ♥ I've been watching so much gorgeousness online lately, so I wanted to make my own Art Journal! Such a lovely fairy stamp this is (I got the silhouette as well - see my card with it here).

There is SO much inspiration on youtube and blogs from amazing artists like Finnabair / Art Files, Maremi, Vicky Papaioannou, Donna Downey, France Papillon, Limor Webber, & Gabrielle Pollacco to name but 'a few' of my favourites ♥ And the channel for Prima marketing inc. too. My wishlist keeps getting bigger and bigger ;) I have spent all of my return-on-taxes-money on new craft stash, so when those packages arrives I'll be in heaven for sure!

I saved a few bucks on buying an old fairytale book at a second-hand store for a dollar! It's a big book with nice thick pages, and some pages I'll be using almost like they are, since they're so pretty ♥

Details of the book before I covered it!
Look it's the Emperor without any clothes on! ;)
I had fun reading the old fairytales in this book while gluing pages together and deciding wich ones to keep for artjournaling on... Sorry emperor, you got gessoed! :)

  9. I've yet to create an art journal page but it looks very exciting and yours is beautiful. Fairies are one of my favourites too and I always find it easier to create with a subject I love. You have so many pretty layers and details and gorgeous colours going on too.
I have been rather absent from commenting also as I've been looking after my mum - she had a hip replacement operation at 84 but is doing very well now so hopefully I will get back to normal visits.
