the Roaring 20's!

"An archaeologist is the best husband a woman can have: the older she gets, the more interested he is in her". ~ Agatha Christie Quote.

"Fortune and glory, kid. Fortune and glory."
~ Indy Quote from Temple Of Doom.

Ble spesiellt fornøyd med dette julekortet, er en helt nydelig digi jeg fikk å arbeide med fra Lacy Sunshine! Sponsor i denne ukas utfordring hos Creative Fingers. ~ Lag akkurat hva du vil for #17. om du vil være med!
Og ikke glem bloggcandyen min med nydelige Gorjuss stempler å vinne! :)
"I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing". ~ Agatha Christie Quote.
~ New Years ~ the Magic of Christmas ~

Whoopee! I LOVE reading Agatha Christie novels, as well as movies and tv-series from the 1920s 30s and 40s ~ archeology, womens liberation & individuality was the bees-knees back then! :) Just think of Egypt in the 20s! The discovery of Tutankhamons toomb.. the valley of the kings and the wonders of the pyramids as they were mostly untouched by tourists... Gangsters and bootleggers. The Wizard of OZ!

Think I was about 12 years old when I wrote a special school project about A.Christie. And I remember my big crush on Indiana Jones *sigh* I wanted to BE an archeologist.. or writer.. Do you remember the tv-series of young Indy? Ab-so-lute-ly LOVED it!

Isn't '1920s Winter Elizabeth' a swanky dame? Can you imagine the tiny 'flapper' dress underneath her coat? :) Lacy Sunshine has some really nice digis, and she's our sponsor this week at Creative Fingers Challenge blog! #17. ~ Always Anything Goes!

And by the way, I got GORJUSS BlogCandy if you want to join in! No rules :)

PS: I, too, am a HUGE Agatha Christie, fan. I have all of her novels and short stories on my ipod and I listen to them while I am crafting. I also have all the movies. I think women's clothing in the twenties and thirties were so elegant, so pretty!
